Searching for Mars

Today's sunrise is for me. The pride of the nation is being widened by my completion of expedition to mars. Our satellite Maangal had completed the expedition. My desire to conqueror mars started from childhood. During that age I was not having any knowledge regarding solar system. But it was because of my friend Sharika chechi, I wished to do the same

. She was my childhood friend. We used to go to temple and park. After some years many proposals of marriage has reached her. My grandmother told that it was because of "Chova dosha"she was not getting a perfect match. When I asked about the word "chova"my aunt told me that it was mars. That day I decided to throw stones at him who forbides the marriage.

After some months a grand wedding ceremony had occurred for Shariyechi. My dad told me that he will let me go her home one day. But after some months I over heard that she commited suicide as he was having another relations. My mother told my dad that I am also having same problem. But my dad though was a clergy of temple told that he want to get a man who has strong emotional attachment with me than horoscopical match. This made me happy. My passion was in Astronomy and i chose the same.

When i started to study college i met Sandeep he was my good friend. Gradually our friendship developed to love. But i told him about my horoscopical problems and he kept silent. I thought that every thing is over. But next day he showed me a chart which was a cartoon of mars that tells the world that "not to blame me as i won't destroy any life. " This made me laugh and there begin our life. He was a man who supported me in all my dreams. He was the person who forced me to do this as a challenge though all others of our team are men.

Today at this moment I , Uma Antarjanam attained the title of the first woman on Mars. I am submitting this victory to my dad who had taught me that a emotional attachment that matters more than horoscope, and to Sandeep who hadn't forced me to be a wife who had to sacrifice all her dreams for family as well as to all woman who had to give up their dreams in the name of horoscope and shackles of relations.
