Rupees, Dollars & Pounds

A bagpack and a suitcase for each of us. That's all that we carried along with us while leaving for Dubai. Being our first international trip me and my wife were super excited to travel. The flight departed for Dubai 30 mins late from its scheduled time. Day one in Dubai was more of a relaxation one, after a long and tiring flight journey. My wife had kept everything related to travel in Dubai handy on her mobile device. So as per our travel plan, our first sightseeing was the Magnificent Dubai Frame. This Giant frame had a glass walk pathway articulated in it which allowed the people to walk over it and see through the glass the entire bottom view from the top. This frame showed two parts of the Dubai viz. The old Dubai and the new Dubai. People were busy taking pictures at this place when I happened to see a fair lady holding a dark girl in her arms and searching for someone. This girl was crying and I had no clue what was the issue but all of sudden she shouted "Dadda" and this fair lady immediately took this girl near to the person whom she addressed as Dadda. Yes, he was her Father and then I realised the situation and understood that this fair lady who was from North America was helping this Nigerian girl to find her parents. This was the first instance where I found that the one who earned Dollars, the North American lady showed no attitude but instead did a kind gesture of helping a Nigerian girl find her parents who were lost in the crowd there.

And with all this, we returned to the hotel from the Dubai frame with a lot of memories and pictures of the sight and of each other.

The next day we had a City tour of Dubai. All the history and geography of this wonderful city were briefly described to all of us by our tour guide for the city tour. After getting to know about all the minute information about what Dubai City offers to you and the citizens there, I was astonished. Dubai was truly developed from a Dessert which had nothing to now which has everything in it.

Now the next day we got ready for the most awaited sightseeing destination named At the top, Burj Khalifa. We reached the destination on time and yes we were on the 124th & 125th floor of the tower from where we could see the entire view of Dubai. It was simply Amazing. There were a lot of people who had come across the world to visit and experience this view. People were busy taking pictures with all sought of poses they could take. And in all this crowd we met a young lady who happened to be a solo traveller on this trip. She was based out of Uk. She had some costly Bluetooth Headphones that she handed over to a young guy who was an Indian. Just because the due to height this guy got severe ear pain due to air pressure which was noticed by this Lady from the UK who seemed to Earn enormous Pounds per month. Without any pride or attitude, she decided to help him quickly after seeing him in trouble without even knowing each other neither being from the same country. This was the second instance which showed that it doesn't matter if you earn in Dollars or Pounds or Rupees or in any other currency, what matters is people and their emotions. People from different places helped those, whom they didn't even know or had seen each other before that day. Seeing this I felt as if my trip to Dubai was a successful one in a real sense. Along with all the best pictures of ourselves, we returned home with all such kind of sweet memories.
