REPRISAL

Nearing the time of 7:30 PM, in a house that consists of two elderly people around 58 years of age and a young man, comprising the age of 29 years with a police haircut are fatally attacked and injured by two armed men.

Those armed men are wearing black suits and blue jeans. The youngest around 20 years of age in the house kills one of the man brutally in retribution for his family's death.

However, he gets injured fatally by another man. He escapes from the place after this...

5:30 AM KRISHNA BOYS HOSTEL, COIMBATORE: 

Near to the Krishna Boys Hostel around 5:30 AM, a guy named Abhinav gets up from his bed, looking for something around his place.

He is looking stylish, smart with a mark of mole near his left side of the face. His eyes are bluish.

One of his friend, Kabinesh asked him: "Abhinav. What are you looking for da?"

"Nothing da Kabi...I got to get some remembrance of an incident...but, felt difficult to recall it da..."

"Don't strain yourselves da...refresh and come to the college.."

He agrees and refreshes himself...after this, he goes along with Kabinesh to the DTP College of Arts and Science...Abhinav is suffering from Anterograde Amnesia. He finds it difficult to restore recent memories as a result of an attack by two men...

One man named Raghavendra. G got killed by him. In the college during the break period, his love interest Harini comes along with Kabinesh to meet him.

"Abhinav. What are you doing here da?"

"Kabinesh. Before few days, I killed one of the attacker, who killed my brother infront of my eyes. But, another clubbed me and escaped the place. But, I am unable to recognize him da."

"Abhinav. Police are interrogating about that incident da. In addition, they however tells that there is no second attacker in this case." Harini said.

"Impossible. I remember the attacker's name. His name is Farook Ismail or Ismail, I think."

After the classes, Abhinav investigates about his brother and parent's murder using notes, Polaroid Photos and tattoos. While doing this in the hostel, he suddenly recollects one of the case, that his brother dealt with before few days in Coimbatore.

FEW HOURS BEFORE: 

Few hours before this, Abhinav and Kabinsh converse about their close friend Rahul.

"Kabi. Do you remember our school friend Rahul?"

"Yes da. Fat looking guy right?"

"Yes yes. He recently met with an accident and got injured...as a result of the injury in his head, he suffers from Antrograde Amnesia itseems. His twin brother Ashwin told me about this..."

"Oh! Sad." Kabinesh said.

CODISSIA PARK, COIMBATORE: 

Around 6:30 PM, Abhinav drives towards Codissia Park of Coimbatore. There he meets his brother's junior officer ACP Dharun.

"Sir. Thanks for coming here. I need your help?"

"Tell me da. What help do you need?"

"My brother told me that, he dealt with a case regarding few recent drug mafia cartel leaders. May I know about that case details briefly?"

Initially, Dharun feels hesitant to give the case details to Abhinav. Since, as per the rules, he shouldn't give or leak the secret of some important cases to anyone of the public. However, seeing the curiosity of Abhinav about this case he eventually hands over a xerox copy of the case details, asking him to be careful.

Abhinav thanks him and takes the case file with him towards his hostel. In the hostel, he opens the file and goes through it.

Seeing this, Kabinesh comes towards him and asks Abhinav, "Abhi. Should we have to deal with this case ah, da?"

"You are coming to tell something da. Tell it openly."

"Let's move forward da. Why should you take this in your heads da? We have lots more to go."

Abhinav remains silent for a while and then tells him, "I would have been silently moving forward in my life da. But, now I am not in my own terms after my family got killed by those guys."

Then, Abhinav gives the files to him and tells, "See this file atleast."

Kabinesh sees the file and then, asks to Abhinav about that incident to explain in further.

After five minutes, Abhinav opens up the things that happened before few days ago.

FEW DAYS AGO: 

Abhinav was living happily with his parents Gopalakrishna and Jamuna. His elder brother Arjun was everything to Abhi. He never disobeyed his words. After their parents got retired from the works, Arjun shouldered the responsibilities of the house and raised up Abhinav. Abhi was studying a course on Logistics management in the college.

He was thought of the moral values, ethics and responsibility. Despite following the opposition from his father for joining IPS by writing UPSC Examinations, Arjun joined with the support of Abhinav. Since, he too wishes to join Indian Army under Air Force for which, he is getting trained in the college as a part-time course.

Things were going very smooth and normal, until Abhinav witnessed a tragic incident in his college, when he came along with Harini and Kabinesh. One of his close friend Yazhini got attacked with an acid by a senior guy of the same college.

Yazhini was taken to the hospital by Abhinav. However, doctors refused to treat her. Because it's a police case. As a result of this, she succumbs to her injuries.

Arjun was getting trained for IPS at Dehradun on that time. In the court, Abhinav decides not to confess about the witnessed incident. Since, he would be taken continuously for the interrogation. This earns the wrath of his parents, Harini and Kabinesh.

"Abhinav. Are you this much selfish ah da?"

"Harini. Please hear my words pa."

She berates him and goes away from the place telling him, "You won't realize the pains of Yazhini da. If you get the same pain only, you would understand the pain of a girl."

"Leave da Abhi. She is angry. She doesn't know the reason, for which you refused to confess against our senior brother."

Abhinav's parents come to knew that, "He have refused to confess against the perpetrator just because that, he is influential and wouldn't get harsh punishment from the Indian Law."

Abhinav soon regrets that, he had been selfish after his brother sent him out of the house for refusing to punish a culprit. Then, Harini realized her mistakes and reconciled with Abhinav.

At that time, Arjun got to know about a few drug mafia in the city. He started to investigate about the case and got to know that DTP College of Arts was also among the target of this mafia to spoil the life of students by giving drugs.

In addition, he was shocked to know that, "These drugs are given through biscuits, juice and milk." After several days, he calls his brother and asks him to learn about the people behind this.

Happy that his brother have forgiven him, he goes with Kabinesh and carefully observes the drug mafia. They then tactfully caught one of the henchman. After bearing him up ruthlessly, they learns that: "Two people from Mumbai Underworld named Farook and Raghavendra Singh are involved in this drug business."

Additonally they learned from him that, "These drugs are coming from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and South America. Since, the drug enforcement agency in that country are raiding against these mafia."

Kabinesh prepared a copy of this evidence as a file and records his confession. The henchman however escapes from the place and soon after, informs this to Raghavendra and Farook Ismail.

The duo feels threatened. Because they have to give answers to the mafia leaders of the said counties, if this is exposed. Since, there would be a loss of 1000 crores of money. They decides to speak with Arjun about the bribe amount and money to shut him off.

Arjun realizes his mistakes of hurting his brother after learning from Harini and Kabi that, "he didn't confess about his witness against the crime, intentionally."

Arjun and Abhinav then reconciles and were sleeping in the house. At that time, Raghavendra and Farook came along with his henchman. The duo tries to speak monetary settlement with Arjun.

However, he refuses to get their bribe and additionally tells them, "He won't spare them and would expose their activities."

Thanks to Abhinav, the original evidence with two xerox copies are given safely to Dharun. They are having the xerox evidence in the house. Raghavendra' henchman fatally attacks the brother's parents and strangles them to death.

Arjun manages to beat the henchman. However, he is hit in the head by Raghavendra for three times brutally. Before dying, he apologizes to Abhinav and gets him a promise that, "He won't spare the people, who caused this havoc."

Raghavendra then tried to attack Abhinav. But, he killed him in retribution. When he tried to kill Farook, the latter escapes after hitting him in the head.

AT PRESENT, SRI KRISHNA BOYS HOSTEL: 8:30 PM: 

"Did you got to know about Farook afterwards?" Kabinesh asked him.

"I doesn't remember da Kabi. But, I now regret for my actions, you know. If I have told against that guy for killing Yazhini, he could have atleast got punishments. I too might be happier without repenting for my actions..."

"Harini told in anger da. Additionally, this is different. Didn't you get any trace of Farook da?"

"I don't remember da. I forgot about that." Abhinav said by touching his head. Additonally, he tells Kabinesh that, "He had been directed by an unseen and unknown caller for these many days and he guided him in killing the people, who were responsible for his family's death. In addition, he apologizes to Kabinesh for not unveiling this before itself.

While speaking about this, Abhinav remarks about a colour sequences of the evidence, that he collected about Farook as a tattoo.

He opens his shirt and finds a tattoo of Farook's license plate. Finding the note, he meets Waheeba, a local barshop owner. She resents at Abhinav. Since, he wears the clothes, that her boyfriend used to wear. He drives the car of her boyfriend, Muhammad Irfan Khan. Understanding the condition of Abhinav through Kabinesh, she uses him to drive a man named Joseph out of the town. Because, he is continuously stalking her for so many days in the name of love.

After Abhinav explained him about the seriousness of Stalking and his reference to it as a crime against women, Joseph goes out of town having realizing his mistakes. Meanwhile, Abhinav meets with a contact Gokul, who warns about Ismail after telling himself as Joseph's helper. Two seconds later, Abhinav reminiscences about the annotated polaroid of Gokul, warning himself not to trust him.

With the help of Gokul, he comes to know that, Ismail's full name is Farook Ismail Khan, Ismail's full name. Confirming the information on "Ismail" and his warnings with Kabinesh's guidance, Abhinav drives Farook to an abandoned building and kills him in an open fight, that occurred between the two.

FIVE HOURS LATER , IN NILAMBUR: 

Having killed Farook in the fight, Abhinav goes along with Kabinesh to meet Dharun, who tells them that he have found out Abhinav's Khan, a.k.a., Farook. They goes to the said location of an abandoned building near Nilambur, suspecting Dharun.

When Khan arrives, Abhinav strangles him fatally and takes the Polaroid photo of his body. Abhinav swaps clothes with Khan and hears him whisper the name Rahul.

As Abhinav only told the story of Rahul to Kabinesh and those, whom he have met, he suddenly doubts Khan's role.

Kabinesh arrives there along with Harini and Dharun.

"Abhinav. He is the original Farook, whom you are searching for these many days." Dharun said.

"Then, the guy whom I killed before five hours ago? Isn't he Farook?" Abhinav asked them.

"He was the one who threwed acid in the face of Yazhini da, Abhinav." Harini said.

"Khan was Farook. As you are undettered, I helped you to kill the real attacker a year ago." Dharun said.

"As the name Khan is common, you will cyclically forget the name and begin again. Because, I myself have the name of Khan." Kabinesh said.

"We were the unknown caller indeed, Abhinav. We helped you in killing the perpetrators, who killed your family and our senior student, responsible for the death of Yazhini." The trio said to him.

"Infact, Rahul's story is your own story Abhinav. You reprised this memory in order to escape guilt." Dharun said.

TWO HOURS LATER: 

After hearing the three confessing all of this, Abhinav burns the photograph of dead Khan and he goes along with Kabinesh, Harini back to hostel. While Dharun clears up the crime scene.

Back to the hostel, Kabinesh goes to wash basin in order to refresh himself. While, Abhinav remarks in his diary stating, "I am willing to lie to myself in order to get justice against anyone who have misguided and wronged me." He therefore targets Kabinesh by seeing a tattoo of Kabinesh's license plate number and writing a note to himself, "Kabinesh is not to be trusted. Since, I would mistake him as Farook and kill him."

Abhinav then gets a call from Dharun.

"Yes sir."

"Abhinav. I have taken Farook's car from the crime scene da. Everything is clear now. No one can suspect you. Since, I have cleared the crime scene."

"My actions have consequences sir. The world is aware of it, despite my lies. Thank you for helping me out sir."

Dharun hangs off the call. While Abhinav goes along with Kabinesh back to college, the next day. While going with him, he reprises about a novel with Kabinesh. The duo discusses about the novel, while going towards the college.
