Rambling Fool

A promising youth named Gary Fool was suspended from an organization today for taking sick leave without actually being sick. He was seen taking a walk with his rumored girlfriend in the pleasant afternoon. By his manager who was in the area for a client meeting. The employee who had only a few hours ago told the manager he was so sick he couldn’t even get out of bed was now clearly out of bed and hands-in-hands with who seems to be his sweetheart. Left shell-shocked, the manager urged people on the scene to pinch him so he could tell if the romantic sight was true. When people said no, the manager pinched himself and realized it was indeed all true.

The news of the ‘Hands-in-Hands’ incident also reached Mr. Fool’s office-girl. Who was devastated to know about the new lovebirds in town? Sobbing, she told she always suspected there was another girl and also added that God only knew if there were more. The girl was seen being consoled by her colleagues and as per sources is now totally out of her brief mourning and onto patching things up with her ex.

But if close friends are to be believed, the couples’ relationship was anyway on shaky ground. This fact has been corroborated by Mr. Fool himself. In a recent interview, the accused opened up about his struggles as an ex-boyfriend and how he came to meet his new-found love.

Says Mr. Fool, “There was a time when I was crazy about her and used to flirt with her a lot. But of late, things had really started to go south. In the early days, we would go out quite frequently to dinners. And sometimes, just out of tenderness, I used to even feed her with a little bite or two. But that soon turned into a habit and she started expecting that every bite should go into her mouth. Which left me hungry and malnutrition. The fact that she is a terribly slow-eater made matters even worse. Sometimes she would take so long to chew her food that I would be on the verge of tears. Waiting for her with the next bite in hand and a lump in my throat.  

Those were a difficult few months and after I couldn’t digest my self-pity anymore, I decided to look for a new girl who would be self-sufficient in feeding herself. And all I can say is I’ve found the perfect partner in my present girlfriend, at least in this regard. The good thing about her is she even feeds me sometimes when I ask her to….”
