Polluted!

Dear Diary,

Human’s arrogance makes us think that we have control over nature but it is the other way around! Humans try to take control over what has control over us, nature and that’s what calls the plague upon us. But as we try to take control, we go on hindering with the atmosphere, a prime luxury we possess.

Humans take such luxuries as granted and go on destroying them, wasting them, polluting them. From the ancestral past till the contemporary times, we live in now, rivers are termed sacred yet we treat them as our sewer systems here. There is a drastic and unbelievable difference between what we imagine rivers as and what we treat them as. Here, praying the sacred is equivalent to polluting the sacred, folks believe they are nurturing the rivers we thrive on while throwing all their ritual resources into the same divine stream they pray for. The rivers are polluted and so are our hearts now, it’s high time we halt for a moment and reflect upon our lives, trying to correct the sins we have made.

Change will not come on its own, initiatives have to be taken, we have to step up united, united as an army to take down this war against pollution. The rivers are to be cleansed now and so do are stone-cold hearts however it is the water that can clean us so preserving it is the only way out of this dark era.
