Guard Down!

Dear Diary,

Deceptive appearances are one common part of human nature, each one irrespective of their personality, is someone changed in front of each one! One pretends, lies to project their imposter profile to one another which often leads to dishonesty with the people that truly care about us. We think lowly of ourselves and underestimate our image that is portrayed, we often try to attract someone else by our outer beauty even when others are already mesmerized by our warmth, portray of emotions and kind deeds. 

One such incident made me realize the how I was ashamed of how I looked that day and wanted to ditch the only period I wait the whole day for. I sat down perplexed, with my head in my hand sulking and reflecting how this emotion of mine blocked me to express myself truly. So, I stood with both my socks and confidence up yet my guard down. I faced the camera without my conscience and expressed myself as the person I am, truly and no one present mocked how I looked, how I danced or how I expressed myself.
