My writing journey and a dream

I started my writing journey from my inspiration, Sudha Murty. She is a very nice writer. In my school, once a year, we have Scholastic Book Fair. They put up all the beautiful books on the showcase. We get a card, in which we write 'To buy list'. This fair occurs 4-5 days before interaction day. I love this fair! It has many books. In breaks, I and my friends used to go to and search for the best books. I was just looking through all the books, and I found a book named 'The magic drum' by Sudha Murty. I just opened a page and started to read it. It was so good and I wanted to buy it! I wrote it down on my 'To buy list'.

It was interaction day, I had got my report card. I was happy to know I got good grades. My dad knew my 'To buy list'. I had 5 books that I loved, but my dad only allowed me to have 1 book. I enthusiastically said I want the magic drum. My dad got it for me. I started reading it. It had many fun stories! I also told some to mom and dad. When I finished the book, I thought of starting my writing journey. I wrote a few stories in my mobile notepad, but I wanted to start something new. I thought about it. And wrote a story. I showed it to my parents. They loved it. My dad helped me with the grammar. I slowly started writing. My English teacher, Juveriya miss informed us about writing contest on Story Mirror. I didn't miss the chance and said, yes. I wrote my story on this platform but I didn't receive an award. I was not sad, instead I got the inspiration to write more. I wrote some stories here and liked this platform. 

My dream is to meet Sudha Murty in person and tell her all this. She has inspired me a lot! If she wasn't there, I couldn't have written such stories. To all my starters who have started their writing journey, please keep reading books. It will help you to think of innovative ideas and write amazing stories! Read books from some authors like Ruskin Bond, Sudha Murty and others. I have started my journey like this and now I am here on this platform. I hope you all will also shine!
