Once upon a time, in a small village of Kushanagar. There lived a man named, Raghuvesh. He was an excellent painter and made many artworks for the royal families. His friend, Aayu was very jealous of him. He thought that his paintings were nothing compared to his. He came up with a plan. He decided to poison him and take his place. On the other hand, Raghuvesh just finished painting a majestic war horse. He was about to sign it when he heard a knock at the door. He kept everything aside and opened the door. He was happy to see his friend and invited him in. They both chatted for a while and then Aayu said "My dear friend, my mother has sent these ladoos for us, if you accept this my mother would be overjoyed!" "Sure Aayu! But on one condition that we will share these ladoos" said Raghuvesh. Aayu nodded.

Saraswati, the goddess of creative arts and knowledge was very fond of Raghuvesh and couldn't see him dying. So, she came to the earth and entered the war horse painting to protect Raghuvesh. He was about to eat those poisoned ladoos when he was disturbed by a neigh. He looked behind him and saw a furious horse. He immediately recognised his painting and was dumbstruck. The horse ran towards Aayu and fought him bravely. It kicked Aayu outside and went inside to see Raghuvesh.

He knew that this horse was no ordinary. He bent down and said "O dear god or goddess! You have helped me today. Please come to my little house and have lunch with me." Saraswati appeared in her real form and had lunch with Raghuvesh. "Raghuvesh you are an honest man. I loved your hospitality. Ask me a boon and I will fullfil it," she said. After thinking for a while he said "O dear goddess!! I have everything in life and I don't need anything but your blessings." The goddess blessed him and left. For years Raghuvesh made many masterpieces and lived happily ever after.

Moral: Don't be greedy, and be grateful in what you have!!
