My True Love

Payel and her family once went to roam in Sundarban. Payel was then 18 years old. When she was coming back from Sundarban, she saw a baby elephant lying on the ground. Seeing that, she felt very sad and told her mother

--" Mom this baby Elephant is very alone and sick too.

I want to take it with us. 

Payel's mother Parnali Dey told--" What? An elephant? Are you mad?"

--" Mom, it is in a lot of trouble. It will die without food and treatment. "

--" It has mother. Just Shut up. You are just a fool. The baby Elephant's mother may have gone anywhere to fetch food for it ."

--" But this baby Elephant's health condition is very bad. Just look at it. It is lying. "

--" So you don't believe me? Then just wait for a minute,, you will see that baby elephant is not alone. After a while you will hear it's mother is coming. But before it's mother come infront of us we have to go away from here, Payel. "

Waiting for an hour also it was watched that the baby Elephant's mother haven't come.

--" Look Mom,,, I told you that this baby Elephant is alone. But you didn't believe me. I want to take it with us. "

--" All right, I'll take it. There's no end of your demand. "

People of the Sundarbans help Payel's family and took  the baby elephant on a tempo and sent it in the home of Payel.

An animal's doctor came to check that baby Elephant and said-- " Yes.... this baby Elephant's health is really bad." The doctor then gave medicine.

Payel-- "Look, Mom, my decision was right, and I have done also right work. The baby Elephant's health was very bad and I have saved the sweet elephant's life."

But you didn't care. You thought "Oh it's an Elephant. Let it die."

Payel's Mom Parnali told--" Okay fine. Now stop talking too much. "

When the baby elephant became fine it started shouting, wondering...... thinking where he is now. It's an unknown place for it. The baby Elephant was pushing everything with his leg and shoving.

And was shouting.

Payel's mother Parnali angrily told--" Now you see, what you have done.. How many times I told you not to bring the elephant in home. But you didn't heard me and forced me to bring the Elephant in our home.

How can I handle it now? If the Elephant break our whole house,,, what will I do then?

The elephant was very young.

Payel quickly bought a bunch of bananas for it and after eating the bananas the baby Elephant calm down.

- " A lots of things broke just for your whims, Payel. Irritating."

Payel-- "Continue saying, that everything which happened are all my fault. If you get happiness blaming me."

- "Stop blabbering."

Gradually the elephant and Payel became friends.

Payel bathed the baby Elephant.

One day Payel saw the baby Elephant has did toilet in ground. She was very angry and told the baby Elephant--"Ish, you did toilet on the ground? Hadn't I told you where is your toilet? If you do it a second time, I'll bit you."

After that the baby elephant always went to it's own toilet.

Payel's family was very happy to be with the elephant. The elephant became their other child.

Payel used to bath it with soap. If the baby Elephant tried to run away, Payel told it --- "Shut up, take a good bath. You are very naughty."

Many years passed away.

 Now the elephant has become little bigger.

Payel is now 25 years old. She is getting married. Payel and Rudra are going to do love marriage.

That day was the wedding day. The Elephant was searching Payel and went in the Marriage hall. 

Looking the Elephant everyone started shouting........ "elephant,,, elephant".

Payel told - "Why have you come here? Now go back to home. I'll talk to you later."

The elephant didn't want to go anymore.

The priest said take it and hurry up. Otherwise it will take a lot of time to marry.

Everyone was saying Payel's mother,,, what are you doing Parnali? Payel's marriage will break up. Why you bring the elephant at this time ??

Payel's mother Parnali said to Payel's father-- "Subhasish are you listening??? It won't go like this way. Bring someone to take it away from the hall."

Why?

The elephant loves Payel very much, it will suffer in pain. It isn't good to hurt it so much."

Payel's mother Parnali surprised hearing Rudra's words.

Parnali--"You're very good boy, Rudra. That's why You're telling this. But it's very bad to keep an Elephant in anyone's marriage place."

Payel-- "Don't call it an elephant, he's my Munnu."

Rudra- "Munnu is his name? Don't push away Munnu in this way. He hasn't done anything wrong."

Parnali again told Subhasish- "What are you doing? take it in home."

Rudra's father Mr. Rajesh Sen said- "Why Didi? Why are you forcing Munnu to go back? It is not hurting anyone. Animals, birds love people very much."

Hearing everything, Munnu was going away. .

"Munnu wait, don't go."

The word came out of Payel's mother.. Parnali's mouth.

Rudra: "It's impossible to hide truth for a longtime,,,, mother. The words of your mind came out. You were not saying this thinking what people would say you."

Munnu was also very happy with Payel's marriage.

Next day, when Payel was leaving her house, crying a little bit, Munnu grabbed Payel's hand with his trunk.

Smiling a little bit Payel told--"Munnu, let me go. I have to go today, my sweety. I will come again after a few days to meet with you. I promise you. "

Tears were falling from Munnu's eyes .

After a week, Payel came home with Rudra.

Seeing Payel, Munnu came running and almost grabbed her.

Payel laughed and said-- "Munnu, I was thinking about you a lot. You never want to live happily with anyone else,except me."

Tears of joy were flowing from Munnu's eyes.

Payel-- "Don't cry anymore."

Whatever everyone eats, Munnu also eats that.

Payel's mother Parnali told-- " Today you eat everything happily. Munnu didn't want to eat well in these days. Munnu's mind is now filled up with joy....... seeing you,, Payel."

- "You are not eating properly? It's very bad Munnu. Never do it again. Otherwise I will also stop eating."

After talking for a longtime with parents when Payel and Rudra were leaving happily, Munnu again grabbed Payel's hand with his trunk.

Payel-- "Don't be upset, Munnu. I'll come again. Leave me now."

Munnu's eyes were again filled with water.

Rudra-- "Why are you giving pain, Munnu like this way? He can't live without you. We will take Munnu with us."

- "What are you talking about? Does Mother will obey?"

- "Hmm,, she will. In our home... we have a room where no one lives. So it's locked up. I'll clean it up and keep Munnu there. And there also have a big attached bathroom in that room."

Payel's mother Parnali said-- "Really Rudra, you are a great man. I am very happy that I have got a son-in-law like you."

Payel-- "But, Mom, Dad will become alone."

- "You're a complete blind person, Payel.

Beside our house there has a two-bedroom flat, and it's not costly also. I and your father will buy it together."

- "Rudra I love you. "

Rudra--"I can't hear your words properly. Speak a little louder."

- "Shut up, you naughty. I'll say it out loudly in front of people??"

Munnu was taken away, with Payel and Rudra in a tempo.

A few days later, Payel's parents bought that flat and went there.

Everyone was very happy.

Munnu is always happy with Payel, but now Munnu also loves Rudra very much.

Munnu has become very dear to Rudra's family.
