A Goddess

Today I am going to tell about a woman who is not only a my woman but a goddess.

A goddess came to this world as an incarnation. Absolutely right. Mother Teressa is a goddess. A picture of Mother Teresa exists in my house and every day I decorate her picture with flowers and I pray to her. Mother Teressa really a goddess when you will hear how much she did for many people while she was alive in this world. Let's start with a great man.

Anjezë Gonxhe Bojha, better known as Mother Teresa. An Indian Catholic nun and missionary of Albanian descent. At the age of 18, she left home and joined the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary. She never met her mother and sisters again. She first went to Abbey in Rathfarnham, Ireland to learn English. Because this language was the medium of instruction for Sisters of Loreto in India.

She came to India in 1929 and started her work in Darjeeling. Here she learned the Bengali language. On 24 May 1931, she took her first oath as a nun. During this time he adopted the name Theresa after Saint Thérèse de Lisieux, the patron saint of missionaries. She taught at a Loreto convent school in East Calcutta on 14 May 1936 for 20 years. Her mind cries for the poor people while teaching. Indescribable sorrow and death hit her heart. Many people also died in the Hindu-Muslim riots of 1947. All of these events had a profound effect on Teresa's mind

On September 10, 1948, while going to Darjeeling for a religious retreat, a deep realization came to her. She described the experience as "another call within a call." It was necessary for me to leave the convent and live among the poor and help them. It was as a direct order. Failure to comply with this order would result in a breach of trust. "

Quitting the traditional Loreto habit, Mother Teresa started working for poor people in 1948. She wears a simple white cotton dress with a blue fringe. During this time she took Indian citizenship and started working in the slum area. She first set up a small school In Motijheel. Later she started responding to the calls of the hungry and destitute people and Keep helping them in various ways. Indian officials soon noticed MotherTeresa's great work. The Prime Minister thus himself acknowledged her work.

These early days were quite difficult for her. She wrote a lot about this in her diary. She had no money at that time. She went door to door to collect money from rich people to raise food and shelter for the poor and starving.

In doing so, she has often felt frustrated, skeptical, and lonely.

She wrote in her own dairy "At this time, I thought it would be better to return to a peaceful life in the convent.

“God wants me to be a bondage-free nun, and the poverty of the sign of the cross envelops me. I got a good education today. How difficult is the poverty of the poor? When I was looking for a house, my limbs would ache from walking. I wondered what kind of suffering the bodies and souls of poor people suffer in trying to find shelter, food, and where to get help. Then my greed became strong. Suddenly the mansions of Loreto came to mind. Someone seemed to be showing me greed, 'Once you open your mouth, you will get everything back.' My lord, in your own will, in love for you, I want to do what you want me to do. I did not let a single tear fall from my eyes. "

On October 7, 1950, Teresa received permission from the Vatican to hold a "diocesan evangelical association". It was this gathering that later emerged as the Missionaries of Charity.

The charity started its journey in Kolkata with only 13 members. After some days, more than 4,000 nuns started working with her.

The charity runs orphanages and AIDS rehabilitation centers. The charity is working tirelessly to serve refugees, blind, paralyzed, elderly, drug addicts, the poor, the homeless, and those affected by floods, famines, or epidemics worldwide.

In 1952, Mother Teresa built the first shelter and service center for the dying on land donated by the Calcutta City Authority. With the help of Indian officials, an abandoned Hindu temple in Kalighat was converted into a home for the dying. It was a charitable medical center built for the poor. Later the name of this center was changed to Nirmal Hridoy. Those who came to this center for shelter were given medical facilities and were given a chance to die with dignity. "A beautiful death is for people who lived like animals to die like angels - loved and wanted," said Teresa. Shortly afterward, Teresa Hansen opened a service center for people suffering from the disease (commonly known as leprosy) called the City of Peace. In addition, Missionaries of Charity set up several leprosy treatment centers in remote areas outside Kolkata. Medicine, bandages, and food are provided in these centers.

The Charity used to take care of the children. At one point the number of children increased so much that Teresa felt the need to create a separate home for them. It was with this feeling that Nirmal established Shishu Bhavan in 1955. This building was a kind of paradise for orphans and homeless children.

Soon Missionaries of Charity was able to attract the attention of many donor organizations and individuals from home and abroad. This makes it possible to raise a lot of money.

During the 1980s, charitable medical centers, orphanages and shelters were established all over India with the funding and management of charities. Its first center outside India was established in 1965 in Venezuela.  The center was established with only 5 nuns. Then gradually spread to different countries. Branches opened in Rome, Tanzania, and Austria in 1986. Branches were established in the 1980s in dozens of countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

However, there are also some criticisms about her philosophy and practical aspects. Critics of Mother Teresa have been unable to come up with anything out of the ordinary. Admitting this, David Scott said, "Mother Teresa herself is more concerned with keeping people alive than with alleviating poverty." Her attitude towards suffering has also been criticized. A report in Alberta states, "She thought that helping poor people could bring her closer to Jesus." The British Medical Journal and The Lancet also expressed doubts about the quality of medical services at its service centers.

Many people talk about using the same hypodermic needle more than once. The low standard of people living in the centers has also been criticized. The Union's non-materialist approach to it made systematic diagnosis almost impossible.

In 1982, at the height of the siege of Beirut, Mother Teresa rescued 36 children trapped in a war-torn front-line hospital. A temporary ceasefire between the Israeli army and the Palestinian guerrillas brought some favorable conditions. Take this opportunity to go to war-torn areas with the help of the Red Cross. Removes underage patients from devastating hospitals.

During the socialist regime, missionary activities were banned in many Eastern European countries. But that part of Europe became relatively liberal in the 1960s.  It was at this time that Mother Teresa was able to spread the work of the Missionaries of Charity to Eastern Europe.

Her work began with dozens of projects. Many criticized her for her strong stance against abortion and divorce. But Teresa always said, "No matter who says what, you should accept it with a smile and do your own work."

Teresa visited the hungry in Ethiopia, traveling to the Chernobyl radiation-affected areas. She used to deliver services to the victims of the American earthquake.

In 1991, Teresa returned to her homeland, Albania, for the first time. He set up a "Missionaries of Charity Brothers Home" in the city of Tirana.

Till 1998, she was conducting a total of 518 evangelistic campaigns in more than 100 countries of the world. The association, which started with only 12 members, has grown to thousands over time. They were all doing humanitarian work in about 450 centers in different countries. This charity, which used to work among the poorest of the poor, is still doing so. The first branch of the charity in the United States was established south of the Bronx Borough in New York. By mid-1964, about 19 branches of the charity were active in the United States.

Many have criticized the use of money received by charities for charitable causes. Christopher Hitchens and Stern have criticized the magazine for saying that some of the money raised by the charity for the development of the poor is being spent on other things.

Mother Teresa had her first heart attack in 1973 during a visit to Rome to meet Pope John Paul II. After another heart attack in 1989, she was fitted with an artificial pacemaker. While living in Mexico in 1991, she contracted pneumonia, which further aggravated her heart disease. In that case, she offered to step down as head of the Missionaries of Charity. But after a secret ballot, the charity's nuns requested that Teresa remain in office. Teresa must continue to work as the head of the charity.

Caller's sister broke down in April 1997. She contracted malaria in August. And besides, there is heart failure. On March 13, 1997, she resigned as head of the Missionaries of Charity. He died on 5 September.

Henry Sebastian D'Souza, Archbishop of Kolkata, said that after Teresa was hospitalized with a heart attack, she asked an evangelist to perform an exorcism. Because he had the idea that some devil had attacked Teresa.

At the time of her death, Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity numbered 4,000 sisters; It had 300 Brotherhood members. And the number of volunteers was over 100,000. Preaching was being conducted in a total of 610 centers in 123 countries of the world. These centers included medical centers for AIDS, leprosy, and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, children's and family counseling centers, orphanages, and schools.

Such a holy woman seems to be a goddess. How many people have the ability to do this?

Now our country has developed a lot. But there are no people like her. Now, WhatsApp, and Facebook are human life. This too cannot be done if you really want to. I have given a lot of my clothes, pendants, and necklaces to poor people and honestly, I feel very happy if I'm able to help poor people.

Once a poor old woman came to my house and was begging me to give something to her. I felt very sad, so I gave her an old Sari. Getting it she got some happiness and blessed me keeping her hand on my head. I felt as if God is blessing me.

I can't be Mother Teresa. But we can still do something for people if we want to but everything depends on our minds.
