My Peculiar, Funny And Extremely Dramatic Year!

I stayed up all night on 31st December 2020. I had baked a strawberry and vanilla cake and half of it was already gone. My parents told me that 2021 would be better and that COVID-19 would eventually pass. I was at the end of third grade when 2021 arrived. I was hoping to go for a vacation in the summer, hopefully abroad. But nooo, Corona had to spoil it for me. I spent my summer cooped up inside my house, with nothing to do.

After a couple of months, in June, I was promoted to fourth grade. I liked my teacher, my classmates, and the subjects. And surprise! My parents, who were driven mad by Corona too, told me would be going on a few holidays later in the year. I finally had something to look forward to, and after that, I didn't mind being stuck at home.

Online school dragged on, but soon it was time to go on vacation. We spent the weekend at a resort in Mahabaleshwar, called Brightland. We had a blast, which also included peculiar times, like when a monkey stole some of our lunch. That vacation cheered me up. Slowly COVID restrictions became more relaxed, and I could go to the mall, the movies, and to restaurants. For the first time in 2 years ( which is not actually that long) I had a birthday party. I invited some friends, and we stuffed our faces with pizza. 

I went on two more vacations, both marvellous too, and now frankly, I can't think of anything else that happened last year, so I guess this is goodbye. Adios!
