A leader is someone who inspires people, leads them to achieve something and motivates them to work as a group in collaboration. The role of a true leader in society is very important as they guide the masses to the right thing and also work with their interests. One such leader is present in every house; in my house as well, and that is my mother.

I won't be exaggerating much if I say that my mother is the leader of my house, though I live in a patriarchal family that is ruled by men. This would be a little surprising to the readers but from my experience, I am quite clear that my mom leads the house in every matter. A mother or any woman in that case in India manages and supports her family. Many do household work and many go out to work at the same time. But in this case how do they become leaders? Well this might be a question revolving around the minds of many people.

A women not only takes care of all the members of the family but she also contributes to the economic value of the country. In a country like India where men usually do not cook, women are given the religious status of 'Annapurna' or the perfect giver of food and nourishment.

She coordinates all the activities of the family, manages everyone's work and also teaches her children good values and principles. She spends hours at the grocery shop to buy nutrient-rich food only for her family's well being and good health.

A woman encourages the members of her family to do good deeds and stops them from doing anything wrong. She manages her work according to everyone likes and dislikes and takes her family as a group and moves ahead. She is always there in the sad and happy times of the family. She stabilises it, keeps their head high in the water and doesn't let them drown in distressing times.

Today's woman is dealing with revolutionary changes in her professional as well as personal life;she multitasks her ways. To ensure that stability and balance is maintained between personal and professional career, thus trying her best to be a superwoman. But every leader needs unbiased support in order to thrive.

She is selflessly devoted to her family's well being and prosperity. Family structures and patterns are changing and it is the need of the hour to support our leaders.

Aren't these the qualities of a good leader? Can't a person who takes care of all the members of the group, works with their interests, give them their total time and dedication, and manages them well be a leader?Without a woman is it possible to run the household or do any other sort of work? No! So let's understand the importance of every woman; the importance of every good leader. For me my favourite leader is my mother or any woman in that matter. And the same should be your answer as well? Right?
