LUIGI: CHAPTER 3:

Note: This is a fictional story by the author. It is not useful for any kind of historical reference. This story is a continuation of Luigi: Chapter 2 and the last installment of the planned trilogy. Yet, this gangster universe will be connected with my upcoming gangster tales.

2018:

CHENNAI:

7:30 PM:

The time is probably around 7:30 PM. The cameraman who recorded the whole conversation between Sahana Reddy and Sai Adhithya finds out another book Luigi: Chapter 3- The Final Draft written by Rajendran. Shocked, he called Sahana Reddy and gave the book to her rushing.

Seeing the book, she was really shocked. Sai Adhithya, who made a look into the book said her: "Oh! I am really sorry madam. I forgot about this indeed."

"What book is this indeed?"

Looking at her, Sai Adhithya replied: "The crimes that had been done by Luigi in between the period of 2001 to 2013 madam. In these twelve years, he have did various criminal activities across the world countries- including USA, UK and Australia."

"Are you reading this book by yourself?" As Sahana asked him, Adhithya said: "I expected my father himself recovers and tell this chapter to the Indian society. But unfortunately, the almighty had different plans." As she looks at him, he said: "History always wins. And somewhere hidden in those pages of history is the biggest kept secret in the history of Mumbai! The story of Luigi and his crime syndicate."

(The story is narrated by Sai Adhithya. Hence, this follows the First person narration style.)

FEW YEARS BACK:

2015:

In 2015, Rajendran went to his newspaper head and asked him, "Sir. Sir. The article that I submitted about Luigi and his crime syndicate. It did not publish?"

Turning back to him, the newspaper head replied: "I have been printing news in this press for many years. But, I don't want to be the news myself."

PRESENT:

After explaining about this, Adhithya said to Sahana: "As I said previously, this matter about Luigi is no secret. The interest that my father had in this, the Narcotics Control Bureau and CBI too had the same amount of interest."

MUMBAI:

2010 TO 2013:

As I said previously, Anjali said that she was pregnant. But, she wasn't sniped by Ahmed Askar all of the sudden. The raid as mentioned by our Honourable Prime Minister Mahendran Deshpande was not done. All this was just a dream that Anjali saw during her sleep around 3:30 AM to 4:30 AM.

Anjali said Luigi: "Luigi. I got a bad dream about you. Don't go from me. Please stay with me da." As she hugged him in tears, he consoled her.

PRESENT:

Thinking for a while and confused, Sahana Reddy asked Adhithya: "Then, what did he did during 2001 to 2013?"

Looking at the newspapers of Mumbai and North Chennai articles, Adhithya viewed the book of Luigi: Chapter 3.

JANUARY 2001:

INDONESIA:

In January 2001, Luigi and his men went to Indonesia in order to meet a prominent drug smuggler Baskoro. He is an Afro-American, involving in various crimes across several countries- including USA. Luigi shaked his hands with Baskoro and said: "Hi. I am Luigi. Gang leader of Mumbai underworld. Why you have called me?"

Looking at him, Baskoro said: "Luigi. We need help from you."

Thinking for a while, Luigi asked him: "What help?"

Baskoro said: "We heard that Mumbai have a largeest sea port area. And you are the head of the underworld too. So, we invited you for a big deal." As Luigi looked at him, he further said: "There had been growing pressure on South American coca-producing countries from US Drug Enforcement Agency, National Crime Agency in UK, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Australian drug enforcement agencies. So, we like to transfer our business to Mumbai."

As Luigi was offered with an amount of ₹56 crores as an offer, he accepts the amount and said them, "You continue supplying your drugs in the Coastal Mumbai. But, a condition. Never interfere in our area."

2003 TO 2005:

Baskoro agreed to his conditions and the drug supplies started in Mumbai. Baskoro shifted their cocaine processing operations from South America to India due to the country being one of the biggest manufacturers of potassium permanganate, a precursor chemical. Taking Luigi's approval as a token card, the vast quantity of drugs seized in the last two years in Sri Lanka, Port Elizabeth and Panana had India as its destination. A kilogram of cocaine is worth Rs 5 cr in the international market. Ahmed Askar's associates informed him about Luigi's collaboration with Baskoro for drug consignment projects.

Ahmed Askar was waiting for a right chance to take off Luigi. Since, he have re-captured Mumbai from his captivity, after taking off his guards and henchman in the previous encounter using Abdul Rahman. Yet, he decides to remain calm until a right chance strikes out. Abdul Rahman gets frustrated as Baskoro becomes a huge threat for their gold smuggling activities very sooner.

Luigi and Baskoro's men create a darknet for Drug smuggling activities. So, they hire four woman, for sale of drugs in small quantities. The four are  a software engineer, financial analyst, fashion designer and a musician. Luigi's henchman Raghunath Kumar nicknamed as "LCD King" guidelined buying, packaging and selling of drugs. He used cryptocurrencies, India Post, pseudonyms, fake IDs and changing addresses frequently for evading detection. The other main operators are Mansoor, Shraddha Surana, Krunal Golwala and his wife Anjali. Akash Mehra, Sidharath, Parichay Arora and Mohammed Aslam, it is alleged. Accused Aditya Reddy, a medical student, also used drugs to experiment on mentally disabled patients. Most of the drug peddlers did not know one another’s identities.

The drugs were being procured from the U.S., the U.K., the Netherlands and Poland via India Post parcel service. Mansoor and his men made payments in cryptocurrencies. They received money via PayTM and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) accounts. They operated on various digital platforms, including Telegram.

PRESENT:

"NCB could have red-flagged Mumbai as cocaine capital of India, particularly for this reason. One doubt. How the contraband is brought in?" Sahana Reddy asked to which Adhithya said: "Most of the drugs come to Mumbai from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Myanmar. The routes have changed over the years, but the modus operandi of Luigi and Baskoro continues to be similar."

MAY 2003 TO FEBRUARY 2004:

Drugs were packed in small gunny bags and thrown across the border into Punjab from Pakistan. But due to Ahmed Askar's influences, border security and checking has increased manifold over the years, due to which Luigi's smugglers have incurred massive losses and the land route has taken a hit. Baskoro threatened Luigi to eliminate his whole gang if their drugs are caught. Everything have fell down.

During 2004 of January, Anjali becomes pregnant with Luigi's child. He was very happy to become father of a child. The same time, Ahmed Askar's henchmen tries to conquer the West Coast and Central Coast of Mumbai by eliminating Luigi's men. But, everything goes awry and they were able to capture the West Coast. Mansoor at the same time alerts him about Baskoro and Ahmed Askar's plans to eliminate him, using the border issue as an opportunity.

"Bhai. Immediately arrange a flight for us. Let's go and meet Abdul Rahman again." Going to Dubai, he looked at the sea. While, Abdul Rahman had been informed about Luigi's meeting with him. He said, "Let him come."

"Greetings Luigi. Seeing you after a long time." Abdul Rahman said.

"Greetings bhai. We are all taught how to respect all the religion in our country."

"Why have you came here after a long time?"

"To play a game bhai. With our people. They doesn't get feared right." Abdul Rahman blinked at him. Understanding that he had came forward to seek his help against Baskoro, he decides to help him. However, knowing the involvement of Ahmed Askar, he backs off and ridiculed about Luigi's power.

A few hours later, Luigi's men eliminated Abdul's men in West Coast. Luigi points the gun towards Abdul Rahman, who throw away his phone.

At present, Adhithya said: "The story is written in blood. It can't continue with an ink. If it has to continue...it has to be only with blood!"

Back to 2004 period, Luigi said to Abdul: "I don't need anybody's friendship. No one can endure my enmity! Shall we make a deal? Offer closes soon."

The CBI officer Ramesh now started to suspect the activities of Luigi and his men. The same time, Narcotics Control Bureau also investigates about his crimes in the city and collects various informations against Luigi and his crime syndicate.

CBI OFFICE, MUMBAI:

"Smugglers have grown tech-savvy over the years and also use drones to send small packages of drugs now across land borders. Most of the dealings are done on the dark web." Ramesh said to the NCB officer Rajan Singh, who have submitted this report to him in the chair.

"Sir. All this is done by Luigi's men. Our young student's life are getting spoilt." CBI officer Ramesh decides not to inform about the Luigi's drug syndicate to the Prime Minister without collecting a proper evidence about it's sources and materials. Henceforth, he just gave informations about the Gold smuggling activities of Luigi.

2010:

Even Sai Adhithya's father Rajendran had been investigating about this to the known sea port sailor who said to him: "There have been instances where people have consumed drugs like heroin and cocaine in tablet form and have flown into the country. The narcotics are later ejected or extracted from their bodies by operation. Some stitch the drugs into their luggage or seal them into their garments, gadgets, and other items."

Shocked, Rajendran asked him: "Doesn't he consider these as a crime?"

Laughing the sailor said: "Shall I tell you one incident aftermath of meeting Abdul Rahman?"

INDONESIA:

Luigi met Baskoro and his men in Indonesia again. Baskoro sent his four men to purchase cocaine from Colombian dealers. The deal goes badly, however, when his men get captured by Luigi. Baskoro was forced to watch as his members all gets killed when the dealers dismember them with a chainsaw, shortly before his men manage to rescue Tony. Mansoor then killed the Colombians. Suspecting that Ahmed Askar set Baskoro against him, Luigi insist on personally delivering the recovered drugs and money to Mansoor.

PRESENT:

"Adhithya. You have went somewhere out of focus." Sahana Reddy said.

"How much have I deviated mam?"

"Too much."

2008 TO 2013:

Luigi ignored the warnings of Manoj about Mahendran's popularity and his threat, when he becomes Prime Minister. Anjali and Luigi have a four-year old son. Around the time period, NCB collects another shocking report during the investigation about Bollywood industry.

"Celebrity drug offenders can profoundly influence public attitudes, values and behaviour towards drug abuse, particularly among young people who have not yet taken a firm and fully informed position on drug issues." Rajan said to his teammates.

Ahmed Askar's men begin to sideline him and lose their trust in him. They decides to escape from A Company and join hands with Luigi owing to his power at everywhere of the states. However, Ahmed burns some of his enemies alive. Seeing this, their men decides to support him. Arranging flights, Ahmed entered into Luigi's house through a secret camp base, with the help of Baskoro, who decides to take his revenge and joined hands with him.

Abdul Rahman said to his men: "Hey. Luigi's regime is coming to an end. In our favour, atleast send him some flowers da." Abdul's men sends AK-47 to Ahmed Askar. With this, Ahmed's men fatally snipes Anjali and her son. Seeing them dead, Luigi feels guilt and frustrated. He cried out aloud after a long time. Baskoro and his men brutally beats up Luigi and overpowered him.

Reminding the death of his son and Anjali, Luigi wakes up and killed Ahmed Askar. With the help of Mansoor, he learned it was Manoj Deshpande who have been mastermind behind all this.

PRESENT:

"Wasn't he shot in the Parliament office?"

Adhithya replied: "No madam. Parliament office have lots of securities. It's impossible for Luigi to go there and kill him. Henceforth, he met Manoj's two security guards at their home. He bribed them a huge amount. They went along with Manoj for meeting a celebrity star of Bollywood. When Manoj stepped inside the house, the security guards fatally sniped him to a brutal death."

DECEMBER 2013:

CBI officer Ramesh was extremely shocked and puzzled with the brutal acts of Luigi. The security guards are immediately killed the moment after they shot down Manoj. Seeing the ruthlessness of Luigi, Prime Minister enforced the Indian Army to arrest Luigi. While, the NCB, CBI officials and police officers were ordered to arrest the smugglers of Mumbai.

"Mansoor bhai. I think my life has come to an end. You all get ready to face our system." Luigi waved a goodbye to his crime syndicate. They all evacuate from the house of Luigi towards the coastal area.

Luigi goes towards Indian Ocean in his ship, where he have been followed by the American and Indonesian Ships. There, the Indian Navy fired Luigi. With the golds and drugs, Luigi drowned in the ocean and died.

PRESENT:

Sahana feels sad upon hearing Luigi's plight. While, Sai Adhithya said: "During this -long operation, the agency identified three groups: a Telegram group comprising 300 members and six verified suppliers; a darkweb page for review rating of India-based drug dealers and a web platform for sale/purchase of drugs. The NCB-Mumbai registered various cases and made arrests from Delhi, the national capital region, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Assam. An NCB constable was also arrested for helping Luigi's gang destroy evidence. Mansoor and his men were encountered by the police."

As Sahana and the others were emotionless and worried, Sai Adhithya said: "The accused persons fall in the 20-35 age group. Many of them had a troubled childhood or family life like Luigi. At least two were victims of child sexual abuse. Some had started consuming drugs as teens and they graduated to become peddlers and dealers."

Sai Adhithya then said to Sahana about another hidden truth of Luigi. Three months post the death of Luigi in February 2014, a CIA agent from America submitted the criminal activities of Luigi alongside NCB officer Rajan's reports and CBI Ramesh.

Sahana Reddy now asked Sai Adhithya: "Now, what's your perspection about Luigi? Is he good or bad?"

Laughing for a while, Adhithya said: "Neither good nor bad mam. In this world, no one can be good. If a situation forces us to turn bad, we won't think about the evil acts, which could affect our society. Each and everyone of us are affected by something or by someone. For that, becoming a gangster or entering into the criminal underworld is not a good solution. However, I say that Luigi have kept the promise to his father. As my father and the sailor said, everybody is a gangster until a gangster walks inside the room."
