Part 1 - The Beginning

In the age of online dating app, I found love at LinkedIn. Yes! It is as true as the existence of life on earth. LinkedIn, the dating app for HR. This is what my friend called it. Though she was not from the HR community. She is one of the employees like me seeking for a change. Love emerges out of nowhere and mostly when you least expect it. My story is no different. 

Part 2 - The Middle

After completing my graduation, I started working in a company in Delhi. Those were the days when I used to be happy with 15K in my hand as this is the first time I have this much amount in my pocket. I can do anything. I can buy drinks for me. I can go shopping for myself. No restrictions. No second thoughts about saving and on the top of this no lecture on saving money. 

Those 15K more than enough for me for the first 3 months. The happiness was shorter than I expected in my college days. So I started looking for better opportunities. I wasn’t a social guy but I heard two people are talking about an app where you find jobs. I remembered that time when you read about jobs either in Newspaper or in bookstores. My dad got a job like that. Nowadays everything is quite simple if we remove distractions from our life. Anyways, I downloaded the app on my Samsung phone and the system started hanging. The screen got frozen for minutes. 

I heard one of those two saying it LinkedIn. I didn’t hear it properly so I searched randomly. From job apps to linked… and thanks to the google search I finally landed on my platform. 

Part 3 - The Happy Ending

After a week, I learned every ins and outs of that app. Within a month I have a connection of 1000 people there. I started getting offers from HR as this is what LinkedIn is all about. I also sent a random request to unknown people. I was spending more time at LinkedIn than on Tinder. And one night, I saw a profile, sent the connection request and read her resume. Her choice, habits and other references matched mine. Seems like we both are on the same page. I was wondering why not to start a venture with her. I endorsed her skills. A day later, she thanked me for that and that is the first message we exchanged. From chatting there, we shifted on Instagram and later on WhatsApp. We both discussed and shared ideas to start a startup and do something big but we both also know that we only want to talk more and more. We only do this to keep going the conversations. Rest was the same which happens with everyone once you get the number of someone. Anyway, this is How I met Tracy. 

Here is one more thing, we both were using Tinder but never matched there. Is it destiny? Or just a fluke.
