Bhagavad Gita talks of memory loss and symptoms related to Alzheimer's.

According to Bhagavad Gita, when one contemplates the sense objects, attachment for them is born. From attachment, desire is born; From desire, frustration is born when your desire is not fulfilled; And finally, from frustration, delusion sets in. 

When one is deluded, memory is lost; With the loss of memory, the power of discrimination is destroyed; With the destruction of discrimination, one's own self is lost. 

Extending or extrapolating further, when one's own self is lost, the mind is disassociated from the body and you suffer from symptoms related to Alzheimer's disease for which there is no remedy or solution. You do not exist in this empirical world!!
