BENGALURU

After explaining the events that happened in Kolar Gold Fields between 1979 to 1988, Aravinth Ingalagi visits the hospitals, where his elder brother Vikram Ingalagi had been treated. Once informed that Vikram is alright, he immediately visits him. Going inside the room, he met his brother. Vikram Ingalagi’s first question to Aravinth was: “Aravinth. Did you explained the events, that happened in Kolar Gold Fields?”

Aravinth smiled and replied: “Brother. As asked by you, I have said everything that have happened in KGF.” When speaking with him, he suddenly remembers something that he had left as such while talking with Pooja Hegde in front of the TV channel. He sits frozen and shocked.

“Why? What happened Aravinth?”

Keeping his hands in his head, he replied: “Brother. I forgot to bring the book From Jaisalmer to KGF’s final draft.”

“Chapter 2 or Chapter 1?”

“No. It’s Chapter 3, which you have wrote.” Vikram gets up and thanked him for reminding him of Chapter 3. Pooja Hegde, who just then took a notice with the book of Chapter 3 phoned Aravinth Ingalagi.

Vikram goes to the channel. There, Pooja asked him: “Sir. I thought this is an end. But, it’s just now the beginning.”

“There are lots of unanswered questions that my younger brother have left in Chapter 2 madam.” Pooja Hegde looked at him for a while and asked: “Sir. Why should Prime Minister issue a death warrant for Karthick, just because he is an hurdle for KGF? Doesn’t this look so ridiculous and silly?”

“Behind every successful stories, there’s a crime madam.”

FEW YEARS BACK

MARCH 11, 1985

For Karthick, “he have to save KGF from the clutches of gangsters and his only motive is to eliminate them all at once and for all.” Knowing the struggles of Tamil laborers, he decides to make their lives better and with the help of some of his friends and people, he started to develop roads, transportation and houses for the people.

Unlike Ravana, he didn’t treat the people as slaves and instead, treated the elderly people and children as employees. Though there is a higher and wider significance to life, of what value is our education if we never discover it? We may be highly educated, but if we are without deep integration of thought and feeling, our lives are incomplete, contradictory and torn with many fears; and as long as education does not cultivate as integrated outlook on life, it has very little significance. Realizing this, Karthick resigned his work as an RAW agent and eventually, started to analyze the problems, faced by villages and places similar to Kolar Gold Fields.

With his authority and intelligence, he brought in few educationalists and people, who can give advise and idea for training children. With those people’s help, he built up schools for the children to educate them, upon realizing the importance of education and schooling for them. This is also to ensure that, “Child Labor is avoided from here onwards for the children, below 13 to 12 years.”

In our present civilization, we have divided life into so many departments that education has very little meaning, except in learning a particular technique or profession. But, during our periods of 1970’s and 1980’s, we have learnt a lots of profession and technique, in order to survive the world. From repairing a vehicle to cooking on our own. The same way, Karthick introduced to these children. He educated them with a lots of books and other things, to his best to develop their IQ level and to make them best.

After the brutal deaths of Pulkit Surana and Minister Raghava Pandian, Guberan and Prime Minister Harbajan Singh were feared and threatened. Guberan took shelter in Harbajan Singh’s house to safeguard himself from Karthick.

PRESENT

“Sir. You have already explained this. I think you lost focus and repeating the same events, that happened in 1980 to 1988.” Pooja Hegde said with some confusions and excitement. Vikam laughed. He asks Pooja Hegde: “Madam. Do you remember the years 1985 and 1986?”

Recalling the events narrated by Aravinth Ingalagi, Pooja replied: “Yeah. I felt confused with his narration. Why the years 1985 and 1986 were skipped? What was Karthick doing in these years?”

MARCH 15, 1985

SOVIET UNION

Spies go undercover. They take on different personas. Karthick wished to provide good life to the Tamils and people of Kolar district in Karnataka. Knowing well about the crooked politics and corruption in India, he went to Soviet Union for meeting Michal upon insisted by Yashika and her father Colonel Surendra. They had a personal agenda in their mind to execute.

Michal was elected General Secretary by the Politburo on March 11, 1985, just over four hours after his predecessor Konstantin Chemenko died at the age of 73. Michal, aged 54, was the youngest member of the Politburo. On March 15th, Karthick met Michal and revealed the problems, that are happening in KGF.

He asks his help for funding the development projects to which, he refused initially. Michal said: “Karthick sir. I understand your good intentions. But, how could I oppose your Indian Government by joining hands with you?”

“Sir. What’s your main goal?”

“My initial goal as general secretary was to revive the stagnating Soviet economy, and doing so would require reforming underlying political and social structures.” Karthick assured and promised him that, “He would support him for this mission if he funds for Kolar district’s development.” With his help, Karthick started reformatory and development measures.

Karthick trained some young people with weaponries and guns, which were sanctioned by Michal. These were secretly bought through helicopter and aircrafts. To investigate this, Harbajan Singh appointed CBI official Rajendran. He keeps an eye on KGF and it’s development activities.

Meanwhile, the reforms began with personal changes of senior Brezhnev-era officials who would impede political and economic change. On April 23, 1985, Michal brought two protégés, Ligachev and Ryzhkov, into the Politburo as full members. With the help of Karthick, his men and other members in Soviet union, he kept the “power” ministers favorable by promoting KGB Chief Chebrikov from candidate to full member and appointing Minister of Defense Marshal as a Politburo Candidate.

However, this decision was opposed by Karthick. Much to the dismay of Michal. Against Karthick’s reluctance, he appointed Marshal as a candidate of Politburo. Fearing that the funds for Kolar would get blocked, Karthick keeps his mouth silent.

The liberalization, however, fostered nationalist movements and ethnic disputes within the Soviet Union. It also led indirectly to the revolutions of 1989 in which Soviet-imposed socialist regimes of the Warsaw Pact were toppled peacefully, which in turn increased pressure on Michal to introduce greater democracy and autonomy for Soviet Union’s constituent republics. Under Michal’s leadership, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1989 introduced limited competitive elections to a new Central legislature, the Congress of People’s Deputies.

On July 1, 1985, Michal sidelined his main rival by removing Romanov from the Politburo despite the advices and guidance that was given by Karthick and Sunil Sharma. He brought Boris Yeltsin into the Central Committee Secretariat. On December 23, 1985, Michal appointed Yeltsin as the First Secretary of the Moscow Communist Party replacing Grishin.

DECEMBER 23, 1986

Michal continued to press for greater liberalization, with reluctant support from Karthick. However, tired and angry of his acts, he and his uncle Surendra Sharma eventually ends their agreement with him. Since, they no longer needs his support for Kolar, having developed it so much, that they could do. Further, Karthick felt, Michal is insulting him a lot, without respecting his advices and suggestions.

On 23rd December, 1986, the most prominent Soviet dissident, Andrei returned to Moscow shortly after receiving a personal telephone call from Michal telling him that after almost seven years his internal exile for defying the authorities was over. Alongside the issue of Soviet Union, Michal decides to take his revenge on Karthick for double-crossing him. So, he ties up with PM Harbhajan Singh(who was already angry, as Karthick tied hands with Soviet Union).

ONE YEAR LATER

JANUARY 28, 1987 TO JANUARY 30, 1987

Harbhajan Singh desperately needs the support of Soviet Union and influential men, so that he could win the upcoming general elections. One year later, at the Central Committee Plenum, Michal suggested a new policy of demokratizatsiya throughout Soviet Society. He proposed that future Communist Party elections should offer a choice between multiple candidates, elected by secret ballot. However, the party delegates at the Plenum watered down Michal’s proposal, and democratic choice within the Communist party was never significantly implemented.

In between these periods, Michal stopped sanctioning weaponries to Karthick. Michal also radically expanded the scope of glasnost and started that no subject was off limits. On February 7, 1987, dozens of political prisoners were freed in the first group release since the Khrushchev Thav in the mid-1950s. Sensing that Michal is losing his power after Yeltsin resigned on September 10, 1987 Harbajan tries to extent his support to him, but it failed miserably.

PRESENT

Vikram looked at Pooja for a while. He continued: “In 1988, Michal started to lose control of two regions of the Soviet Union, as the Baltic republics were now leaning towards independence, and the Caucasus descended into violence and civil war.”

“So, what happened after all these events? Did Karthick supported Baltic republics?” asked Pooja.

1988

On July 1, 1988, the fourth and last day of a bruising 19th Party conference, Michal won the backing of the tired delegates for his last-minute proposal to create a new supreme legislative body called the Congress of People’s Deputies. Frustrated by the old guard’s resistance, Michal embarked on a set of constitutional charges to attempt separation of party and state, thereby isolating his conservative party opponents. Detailed proposals for the new Congress of People’s deputies were published on October 2, 1988, and to enable the creation of the new legislature. The Supreme Soviet, during it’s November 29th-December 1st, 1988 session, implemented amendments to the 1977 Soviet Constitution enacted a law on electoral reform, and set the date of the election for March 26th, 1989.

On November 29th, 1988, the Soviet Union ceased to jam all foreign radio stations, allowing Soviet citizens for the first time since a brief period in the 1960’s- to have unrestricted access to news sources beyond Communist Party control.

In 1986 and 1987, Latvia had been in the vanguard of the Baltic states in pressing for reform supported by Karthick Ingalagi and his men. In 1988 Estonia took over the lead role with the foundation of the Soviet Union’s first popular front and starting to influence state policy with the support from Karthick’s uncle. The Estonian Popular Front was founded in April 1988. Michal becomes angry with this step of Karthick.

On June 16th 1988, Michal repleaced Karl, the “old guard” leader of the Communist party of Estonia, with the comparatively liberal Valjas. Karthick faces hurdles in Kolar meanwhile, due to the entry of Guberan, which was actually planned by Harbhajan Singh, upon insisted by Michal, who wanted Karthick to be diverted, so that he could take some measures in Soviet Union.

KOLAR DISTRICT

Karthick is met by Guberan face to face near Kolar Gold Fields after he received a happy news from Yashika that, she is pregnant with his child. This is not said by my brother Aravinth Ingalagi. Karthick is supported by Tamil Laborers, who decided to die for him by fighting Guberan’s man. Since, it was Karthick, who provided them good house, social reform and education for the children, further training them to be patriotic. Karthick’s wife Yashika also joins him along with Surendra Sharma to face Guberan.

In the ensuing fight between these two groups, most of Guberan’s henchman are killed by Tamil Laborers, who takes Kerosene, petrol and knife in their hands to attack them. Some of them are even burnt alive. While, Karthick removes his shirt and sees Guberan face to face, telling him: “Peace is not achieved through patchwork reform, nor by a mere rearrangement of old ideas and supervisions. There can be peace only when we understand what lies beyond the superficial, and thereby stop this wave of destruction which has been unleashed by our own aggressiveness and fears; and only then will there be hope for our future generation and salvation for the world da.”

Guberan tells: “Only violence continues to happen, whatever reform that you try to bring in this society da. Let’s see each other today da. I am not from someone in a coward family. Me too is a great fighter. Come da.” Removing his shirts, he too runs to fight with Karthick.

Surrounded by the dark atmosphere on one side and Lord Shiva to the left side, Karthick goes near to Lord Shiva. He applies sandalwood all over his body along with the saffron. As Guberan ran towards him, his eyes turned red. Raising up his hands, Karthick hits Guberan’s abdomen, as he came forward. As he fell down, a sudden thunder storm is heard in the sky. Rains started to downpour heavily in the Kolar district. People rejoice the rain and at the same time, Tamil laborer inside the fields, beheaded Guberan’s henchman.

While, Karthick continues to fight with Guberan. The nearby sword in the gold fields was grabbed and placed by Karthick in front of Lord Shiva, whom he worships. Looking at Guberan, he jumps at him. Searching for nearby sword, he runs and unsheathes a sword from one of the laborers. He tries to kill Karthick by stabbing him. However, Karthick subdued him.

Knowing that he cannot survive no more and would anyhow die in the hands of Karthick, Guberan decides to kill Yashika and Surendra Sharma at first. So, he runs towards them, chases by Karthick and brutally stabbed Surendra Sharma, who died in Yashika and Karthick’s arms. As said by Aravinth, Yashika didn’t die in the hands of Guberan’s henchman. Nor Indian Army entered at this point of time. She was fatally shot to death by Guberan.

As she died in his arms, Karthick becomes shattered completely. He sheds tears and turned violent. Worshipping Lord Shiva, he brutally overpowered Guberan. The last henchman, who was said to kill Yashika actually fought with Karthick. The henchman was stabbed brutally for multiples of times by him. Now, he faces Guberan.

With the bloody sword in his hands, he decapitates Guberan and kept his head in-front of Lord Shiva. The news of Guberan’s death reached Prime Minister’s office, who felt threatened and decides to enforce and issue a death warrant against Karthick. The Indian Army arrested Karthick, after he cremated Sunil Sharma and Yashika.

While, Brazauskas bowed to pressure from Sajudis and legalized the flying of historic yellow-green-red flag of independent Lithuania and in November 1988, he passed law in making Lithuanian the country’s official language also, the former national anthem, Tautiska giesme, was later reinstated.

PRESENT

With tears flowing in her eyes, Pooja Hegde asked Dr. Vikram Ingalagi: “Sir. Is Karthick really alive or dead? I don’t feel like he is dead.” Vikram feels reluctant and said: “He is dead as said by my brother, madam.”

“Vikram. You are incapable to lie. Tell us the truth.” The TV Channel owner asked to which, Vikram indirectly told them: “A few truths have to be hidden to the world for the good of several people sir.” Seeing the watch, Vikram takes an exit. Aravinth Ingalagi picks him up.

When going in the car, Aravinth asked Vikram: “Brother. At least tell me the truth. Is Karthick dead or alive?”

“You know Aravinth? The life of spies is to know, not to be known.” Vikram says what exactly happened in the year 2001.

1988-2001

NEW DELHI CENTRAL JAIL

Sunil informed Karthick about the death warrant issued against him by Harbhajan Singh. He further informed that, “His history shouldn’t be read by anyone in the future.” Smiling, Karthick surrendered himself to the Indian Army, addressing to the Tamil Laborer, “Not to worry about his arrest and motivating them to fight the way and stand their ground, when any problem approached them.”

For 13 years, Karthick spent his life in prison. While, Sunil had been making some secret plans to cancel the death warrant for Karthick. In between these years, Harbhajan Singh and his party lost the general elections. Eventually, Vishnu Vajpayee took charge as the New Prime Minister of India. He studied about the life of Karthick and his roles as a RAW Agent, Operation KGF and did few more analysis.

As KGF became extinct, Vishnu eventually shut down the fields. While, he secretly met Karthick, to whom he says, “I will make preparations for your escape.”

A bearded Karthick stared at him and said: “Having lost my love and my beloved uncle, what’s the use of releasing me from the prison?”

Vishnu said: “Because, you are useful to us and our Indian nation. Lashkar-E-Taiba recently attacked our Parliament in 2001. Sensing the issues of terrorism, corruption and dirty politics, we desperately need your support.”

Reminding his promise to father, Karthick agreed. For namesake, the Indian Government declared him as dead.

PRESENT

At present, Aravinth asked Vikram: “How’s it possible? How could they do so? Doesn’t the media and public raised their doubts and questions regarding this?”

Vikram replied: “That’s the thing about spies. Most of the secrets we keep are from each other. Media and Public were shown the fake photos of Karthick’s hanging and death. Very few media and opposition party(led by Harbhajan Singh) had some doubts and suspicions. While, most of the people refused to believe about his death.”

“Where’s Karthick residing now? Do you know brother?”

Smiling for a while, Vikram replied: “I don’t know where he would be. Because he’s a spy Aravinth. He was born to do this- to be this. It’s in his blood. And he will do it until the day he die. It’s who he is…The thing is he don’t think we realize this…it’s who we are too.”

Meanwhile Rajendar Singh, the current Union Minister of India saw a big man in Russia. He becomes stunned and interacted with him for a while. Back in India, he addressed to the people: "I have met a big man in Russia. If I say who is he, our Indian people would feel very happy. But, their happiness would be more greater compared to their happiness on the Independence day."

When he was speaking itself Narendra Deshmukh, the current Prime Minister of India stopped his speech. The party members, workers and people are informed about the death of Vishnu Vajpayee. He is now 94 years old. They all mourn his death and pay last their last respects alongside several opposition party leaders, Dr. Vikram Ingalagi, Aravinth Ingalagi and celebrities.

MOUNT ELBRUS, RUSSIA

Amidst the heavy snowfalls in Mount Elbrus, a middle-aged man(whom the Union Minister mentioned as big man) is seen sustaining the cold winds and the chilling atmosphere by sitting one meter from the fire. While, a few helicopters of Russian Army landed in the place.

Few men comes and asked the security guard: "Where is he?"

"Sir. He is there." The security guard pointed his finger towards the fire. While, the Russian Army men went towards him and said: “Karthick sir. You shouldn’t be here for very long time. Come on sir. Let’s go.”

Turning his bearded face, Karthick said: “Yes friends. Let’s go.” He wore his cooling glass and went along with them. While going, Karthick is informed about the death and demise of Vishnu Vajpayee. Karthick is completely shattered after hearing the news of Vishnu's death.

When travelling towards the Army office in helicopter, Karthick recalled few more events, which were the reasons for Prime Minister Vishnu have to cancel his death warrant. These events are not known to Doctor Vikram Ingalagi and Karthick's security(in Kolar) himself, who narrated these events to Vikram alongside few more Tamil laborers, who were working in KGF. It was these Tamils, who found out that Karthick is still more alive(during their trip to Russia) and informed to Vikram, showcasing evidences.

Karthick’s support were much needed for Russia, Baltic Republics and Western Republics. Due to the pressures from Soviet union to release him, Vishnu investigated him a lot by studying his reports, which were written falsely by the RAW Agent’s directors and secretaries under the orders of Harbhajan Singh, the former Prime Minister.

However, Sunil have written the exact reports of Karthick and his role to resolve the issues of Soviet Union. After reading them, he heard from Sunil that, “He is trying his best to retrieve Karthick for the mission.” Karthick was poorly treated by the Indian Prisoners for his tuberculosis and heart ailment problems.

For a period of six months in Vishnu's personal house, he received proper treatment for his disease. Officially Vishnu's government lied that Karthick was hanged in 2001. But, they made some secret plans to make him escape to Russia(after talking with the Russian Prime Minister). Since, that's the safest place for him.

Once Karthick recovered from his health problems, he immediately escaped to Russia in the year 2002 from where, he provided information to RAW agents regarding the problems for India by Pakistan terrorists, their evil plans and further extended his support to Russia and Soviet Union nations. He guided them and solved their problems.

Karthick played a vital role in helping the Indian Government to tackle the 2019 Pulvama Attacks. He currently provides some guidance to the Russian Prime Minister in regards to solving the disputes and problems with Ukraine, their neighbouring country.

Former Prime Minister Harbhajan Singh's family, who had now taken over his party are however suspicious of Karthick's death. They mainly doubted Russia and Soviet Union. Since, they were desperate to save Karthick somehow from death sentence. When he is declared dead and shown some photos as evidence, Harbhajan Singh confirmly said to his family that, "It's impossible for them to kill Karthick that easily. Since, Vishnu won't not allow such things to happen that easier." They had been spying the country with some undercover agents for so many years in Russia after they regained their power in 2004. However, the plans were foiled. In 2014, they lost the elections to Vishnu's party.

Harbhajan gets a paralysis attack thinking about the same and he died in 2015. Even before he died, he said strongly to his son and daughter that, "Karthick could be possibly alive." Hearing the news of his death, Karthick really felt happier and celebrated it grandly in Russia. Since, he was the one, being a primary reason for Yashika and Surendra Sharma's death.

“For decades to come the spy world will continue to be the collective couch where the subconscious of each nation is confessed. We, the agents can do more for the people if they are not so aware of what we are trying to do. Jai Hind!” Karthick Ingalagi said in his mind voice as the helicopter entered the office of Russian Army. There, the Prime Minister asked Karthick to accompany him in a masked look to pay the last respects to Vishnu Vajpayee.

After some initial refusals thinking off some troubles, Karthick agreed to come with him. Since, it was because of Vishnu's government, Karthick is still alive. Orelse, he could have died without fulfilling the promise, that he have given his father during the childhood days. As a show of loyalty, Karthick goes to India with the Prime Minister in order to pay their last respects to Vishnu.
