I See Her - Part 1

How amazing is nature! I mean look how barren and deserted is this land, yet look at that little plant full of flowers, bright red in colour. It is not just red, it is blood red something that my dear friend Althea, the colour expert would have said. I loved flowers, so I plucked a few of them and walked home happily.

 It all started that day.

Fresh flowers were perfect for my bedside vase, I kept them there, added some water, and went out of my room. When I returned the water had spilt all around the vase, that was quite surprising as I had not spilt any water but thinking I might have been careless, I cleaned the water. It was weird to see the cloth drenched all red, it was as if I was wiping out blood, I ran out to my mom to show the cloth, but the cloth was white again. It might have been my hallucination I thought and let it go.

It was around 10 PM that I usually went to bed, everything was all normal, the vase, the flowers, everything was perfect.

Hymmmmmmm hmmm  hmmmmm..laaaaaa..hmm hmm hmm hmlaaaaaa. Once there was a little girl wearing clothes all red, jumping and walking, happy that she was... hmm hmm hmmlaaa hmm hmm laaaaa

A sweet melody, someone was singing and stroking my hair, it was as if I was dreaming and suddenly, the singing stopped.

Clinkkkk Clinkkkk, like some glass, was breaking and felt droplets of water from the glass were falling down. I could feel on my face, the water droplets. I got up, it was all so calm. Rubbing my eyes with one hand, I reached out my other hand to my bedside lamp. Someone held my hand, my heart skipped a beat, the touch, the same one that was stroking my hair. I did not want to move, that grip was so tight yet so soft. That someone let go of my hand now, I closed my eyes and moved my hand in search of the lamp. There was no lamp, all I felt was water, there was water all over the table, maybe the vase had a crack. But where was the lamp, I searched my bed for my mobile, I needed the flashlight to see what was wrong.

I turned the flashlight on and Ahhhhhhhhhhh, bloodshot eyes, there was no face, no human, no structure just eyes and blood flowing from them. I was breathing so heavily, I was stuck there, sweating badly and the singing started again...

Hymmmmmmm hmmm  hmmmmm..laaaaaa..hmm hmm hmm hmlaaaaaa. Once there was a little girl wearing clothes all red, jumping and walking, happy that she was... hmm hmm hmmlaaa hmm hmm laaaaa

I could now feel the hand again, stroking my hair, I wanted to jump out of bed and run out but I could not feel my legs, I was as if tied down. I blinked and now there were no bloodshot eyes in front of me, the singing stopped, there was no hand now, I could move my legs. I quickly turned on the lights. The lamp on the table was there, there was no water around, it was all dry, the vase was perfect. I decided to keep the lights on now as I lay on the bed.

Smasssshhhhh, the lights and lamps broke, it was all dark, I only had the mobile torch now. I could now hear the water drops, I turned my mobile light towards that sound, blood drops were falling down from that vase and forming a face on the floor, a scary face. hmm hmmm... it was about to start.

I shouted so loudly, my parents came running, they turned on the lights and the lights worked. My room was all perfect, there was no blood, no broken glass now. I hugged my mom and went to their room to sleep.

The next morning, the first thing I wanted to do was throw away the vase, those flowers, so I went to my room, to my horror; there was no vase, the flowers were all scattered on the floor, but they still were bright red. I picked them up and threw that in the dustbin and thought the horror was now over.

Little did I know...
