Happy Days

In 2010, in my college days I and my 3 close friends Vishwanath, Shankar and Shiva Ranjan, we all were very close, sharing good and bad with each other and now in 2023 we only contact by phone calls or WhatsApp. that too rarely.

It was a 3rd semester exam and we planned to do combined studies for the NALP subject.

We started combining studies at 10AM in Shankar house terrace and picked one problem and started solving and we took time till evening to solve 1 problem.

You all should have a question for 1 problem, till evening ah?

So while solving, we were going to shop and having boti, nippat, chats etc... and discussing unwanted things.

And I found out that combined studies don't work, so I left at the Shankar house at 6PM.

My other three friends continued combined studies and in these three Shiva Ranjan was good at the NALP subject and for that day he was the teacher for Vishwanath and Shankar.

I started practising at my home till midnight 12. And next day early in the morning at 5PM I was getting a call from my friend Shankar, then only I got to know that they are still continuing the combined studies and I even started practicing at home.

So we all met in the Vivekananda college to write the NALP exam. Shiva Ranjan and Shankar were in good josh and even me, but Vishwanath was a little upset and told me to show the answer in the exam hall.

So in the exam hall we almost sit together like in one bench of 2 people. In 1st bench Shiva Ranjan  and Shankar and in 2nd bench Vishwanath and me.

Invigilator little strict but still I showed my answer sheet , but Vishwanath was not able to copy the answers.

Shankar and Shiva Ranjan , were writing interestingly and Shankar was taking extra sheets. All 3 were shocked looking at him.

Almost there was 10min left and for the graph I asked for scale with Shankar. Even at the same time he was doing graphs and he did not give. So I used another pencil as a scale and completed it. We all four submitted the answer sheets.

Me, Shankar and Shiva Ranjan were smiling faces and Vishwanath was a little bit sad.

While walking, Shankar was discussing the answers with all three and was teasing Vishwanath like "you did not attempt this question, omg it was so dead easy". Vishwanath kept quiet and we all went to Iskcon temple for prasada.

After 2months exam results came, I got 85 marks, Shiva Ranjan got passing marks 35, Vishwanath failed 21 marks and Shankar was missing in the group.

So we searched for him and he was sitting in the class room and asked him why and what happened?, with a sad face he said I failed and got 8 marks.

Now Vishwanath started teasing him like "I got a two digit number (21 marks) and after attempting all the questions you got a single digit (8 marks)". That day we all smiled and remembering the same incident again and again we laughed for 3 to 4 day.

Somehow in the next attempt Shankar and Vishwanath passed the exam and now it is still a good memory. I Miss you my friends. Love you all.
