Michael stared at his watch for the umpteenth time.

He was bored stiff with the party.

He took a sip of his drink and feeling nothing he braced his eyebrow.

He needed something strong but the drinks served here were useless.

He'd rather be in church than here!

If the deal with the Mason's wasn't important and if there weren't so many competitors, he wouldn't have bothered to be here.

Mr. Ferguson can be very demanding, inviting him to dinners and parties.

If he wasn't the head of the Mason empire, Michael would have turned him down.

He has been gracious at all but right now he was beginning to lose it.

He couldn't wait to close the deal and to be done with Mr. Ferguson.

Everything in here stretched his patience thin.

The music makes his ears burn and the women are all classless with no sex appeal.

He has seen the way most of the women looked at him but none of them were his class. He has five top models on his hands right now, each wanted to spend the night with him.

He'll pick one and leave the others.

Maybe they'll be sad but he doesn't care, he didn't go after any, they approached him themselves.

That's what most women are good at anyways, throwing themselves at a successful man.

He's not the type to go to bed with the same woman twice because there'll always be other women.

He loves the fact that no woman has ever resisted or rejected him, he always has his way.

He looked at his watch again and decided it was time for him to go.

He turned around looking for Mr. Ferguson.

He found him discussing with a group of men.

He tried to join the conversation but he found out the gathering was more boring than the party and he excused himself after telling Mr. Ferguson that he was leaving.

He called his driver Evans who pulled up almost immediately.

He got in the car and loosened his tie, massaging his neck with his thumb.

It has been a rough day.

When they got to the house he stepped down and knowing that the housekeeper was probably gone, he brought out his key and opened the door.

He took the stairs to his bedroom and started to undress.

Somehow his eyes went to his table and he saw a smiling face in a photo.

He wondered what it was and then remembered Mr. Adams had decided to pay him with his daughter.

He remembered he and the wife had brought a photo of his supposed payment.

He went over and picked it up.

The day the proposition was made, Mr. Adam and his wife had looked so pitiful that he accepted to have the girl.

He hadn't taken much look at the photo and looking at it now he felt something stir within him.

He studied the girl who was smiling brightly at the camera, she had beautiful eyes.

He looked at the smiling face again and wished he was the one she was smiling at and not the camera.

Without his knowing he started caressing the photo.

He rebuked himself for acting so strangely towards a mere photo of a girl he has never seen.

He loves glamorous women and this girl is everything but glamorous.

She is damn plain!

He is sure the girl was dying to meet him and that she can't wait to be welcomed into his home of wealth just as every other woman is wishing.

No girl can ever turn him down and besides, her family owes him their life he concluded...
