Dear Diary,

Day 3:

After a long period of home quarantine, today I had to venture out of my home to purchase medicines for my parents and paternal aunt. After 2.5 hours of long waiting outside the pharmacy with other fellow elderly citizens wearing masks except myself (mostly septuagenarian and octuagenarian)and of course maintaining social distancing, I finally managed to get the medicines. This picture of the deserted road is just a reference to what we are going through right now. On other days, this particular road serves as an important thoroughfare bustling with the noise of transports and people moving along the footpath. It was 12:37 PM when I clicked the picture, just to remind myself of these days that we have to go through. The helplessness of the elderly persons in these trying times who do not have young people back in their home to look after were compelled to wait in the long queue for their turns to come. Today's experience will haunt me for years to come, as I experienced the frailty of human life in a rather harsh way.
