Dear Diary,

Day 20: These days books are my companions. At times, I seem to be so engrossed in the realm of books, that on my mind conversation starts with certain fictitious characters long after I've put down the real book. However, today I started off with this particular book quite casually. History has never been my favorite subject. Thoughts of memorizing those kingly conquests and dates from events considered important even now give me jitters. Quite unlikely, I'm enjoying reading this particular book that is a refreshing manner that provides a snippet into the thoughts of some remarkable personalities from yesteryears. These real-life conversations from back in time are keeping me intrigued. Afterall not all historical writings follow the same old sign that fails to ignite any interest among the readers (read the reluctant and cynical history reader) like me.
