Foolish Pathan

Once upon a time far away in Kabul lived a pathan named Mohammad Habibullah."Foolish Pathan " was the nick name given to him by the villagers.His deeds were innocent but seems to be foolish to others.

One day Habibullah decided to meet his sister "Fahtima" who stayed in the neighboring village. He packed gifts for her and started for her house. After an hour's journey he reached his sister's home.

Fahtima was very happy to see her brother after a long time. Both of them were excited and delighted. Soon Fahtima served her brother with a variety of dishes.But the special one was "Mutton a korba". Habibullah was so tempted after eating the dish , that he asked his sister to give the recipe of the same.She happily wrote the recipe on a piece of paper and gave it to Habibullah. He quickly kept it in his pocket and bid good bye to Fahtima.

First he went to the meat shop and bought meat, as he had decided to cook the same dish at home as well. He started his journey back home. All of a sudden an eagle came flying towards him and she took away the meat packet from Habib. All the passers-by were dumb- stuck to see the eagle taking away the packet.After some time a loud laughter was heard. Astonished villagers looked down towards the voice, surprisingly it was non other than Habibullah laughing loudly.

One of the villager could not control himself and asked Habibullah, " why are you laughing my friend, that eagle took your meat, aren't you sad". Habibullah stopped for a while and replied, " oh dear ! She is such a foolish bird she took the meat , but how she will cook it , the recipe is still in my pocket." Listening to the reply, all the villagers started laughing. " Foolish Pathan, ha ha ha ......"
