Encounter With Ghosts

  Near about 12 decades ago my father's maternal grandfather was appointed as a school inspector and allotted an M.E.School situated nearby Salipur for inspection.

  At that time there was no electrical facilities in the rural areas in Odisha. That school had a thatched roof and lanterns were being used at night regularly. It was dark midnight. Wintery cool winds was blowing off and on outside the schoolroom.

 There was also a village graveyard within one kms distance from the school. He firstly heard a sound of light philips on the entrance door and then the daredevil grandfather heard a ghrrrr...sound around his bed which broke up his sound sleep.

 So he sat upon the cot and put eight numbers of British made thick candle out of his hand bag and lit them. He fixed those candles on the four corners and four middle margin sides of the rectangular cot.

 Then he saw one large head having a dense deranged black bunch of hairs just like demon Rahu was revolving around the cot which made the snoring noise. Grandpa was enjoying the sight and sat on lotus position chanting Gayartree Mantra. By the candle flame, its face was obscure but it seemed deep black.

 After about 10 minutes the apparition vanished. Then he refreshed himself and slept peacefully only burning one candle on the bedside table.{ a real-life experience-a ghost story told to me by father's mother's father during my puberty )
