Nimai, the Nabadwip boy, once walking unmindful, lost the way;

Was travelling fearlessly, a far distance away.

In every step he was chanting ‘Shri Krishna’ from heart;

Was asking the people if they had seen the Aristocrat.

No feel of hunger and thirst, walked all through the day;

Crossed the dust filled roads and lands full of hay.

If someone offered grains or dry bread to the tired boy,

Heart became filled with contentment and ate with joy.

One evening, Nimai met suddenly with his initiation Guru,

Ishwarpuri, the Monk, was also looking for Lord in his journey through.

Nimai took initiation and ‘Guru Mantra’ made him amazed.

Mind became saturated with peace and thrills prevailed.

He had left everything behind only to meet the Lord,

Yet, couldn’t see Him and sadness of mind looked broad.

On reaching ‘Nilachol’ with ‘Krishna Kanai’ in his heart;

Expectation fulfilled and delightedness filled the world.

Love and emotion transmitted through the mind and dream,

‘Lord Krishna’ entered his heart, ‘Nimai’ found himself lost in Him.
