DISCONTENTED SPIRIT

 EMANCIPATION OF A BRAMHA RAKSHYAS

Once at my maternal village, a Sanskrit College was there which was being haunted by a Bramha Rakshyas since long. So nobody was daring to stay inside the college campus. All the teachers and principal were very much worried for that and sought for relief. The Principal was my maternal grandfather's brother in law. At that time my late grandfather was the land lord of that area ie Sidhal, Jagatsinghpur. So in consultation with my grandpa the principal arranged a sacred worship at night inside the college to drive away the spirit. Bramharakhyas is a discontented spirit of a bachelor Bramhin young man who expired prematurely. Late Damodar Ratha Sharma, the Principal arranged a sacrificial fire altar in the college room and began worshipping as per Vedic rites. It was mid night when a white apparition appeard before him during the rituals.

The principal sitting standstill continued his worship. Then the apparition squated before him turning itself into a human being. Mr. Rathasharma, the pricipal asked him, " Who are you? Why are you intimidating the people here? What is your desire please tell me I will try for you. " The ghost replied," I only want to listen to the Chapter 15 Purusottam Yoga of Shreemad Bhagavat Geeta as before my death no one of my family members fulfilled my desire. Moreover I was a student of Prak Shastri of this College. " Then the Principal read out the chapter loudly and when he finished that Chapter the Brahamrakhyas, discontented Spirit fled away through the window making a windy gusty noise. Since then that haunted college became free of fear for ever. Staff member and students could stay inside the campus without tension.
