Dear Lover

Dear Lover,

I write to you even as I am kept captive in a garden guarded heavily by demonesses and those loyal to my abductor. 

And it is not an entirely bad place, either, just because of what its owner is - I've seen Lanka from above; and this garden, too, everyday. The city is one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen - and this garden even more fabulous. Oh, the pretty blooming flowers, the tall dancing trees, the lovely melodious birds, and even an animal here and there... how can I not be happy here? What else am I missing to be as sad as I am now despite everything? 

I know what it is - you. Nothing here, no one here would make me happy if you weren't by my side. This garden, even this fortified city, would be a brighter place for me if you were to be here with me. 

I think about you every moment. Ravana comes to me everyday in the hopes that I would betray you and bed him. And every time I refuse, he tries t0 coax me, blackmail me, even harass me, but I always stand my ground - and the courage to do that, I get from my thoughts of you and your evergreen love for me. 

I know you're still alive somewhere in the world, looking for me tirelessly, seeking all the help you can to find and rescue me. I am waiting for that day to come - and that will be the day one side prevails and the other side is exterminated. I have a feeling which sides they are... but I dare not hold on to any hopes. I have faith that one day this war will be over, and you and I will be reunited. 

You shall ever be in my heart and be the music of my soul, keep my life going. As long as you're alive, so shall I.
