Crime Thriller

It was a rainy night, and a tall young man in his early 20’s was walking in a dark alley wearing a black raincoat. Out of nowhere, a suspicious man stabs him with a knife from behind. After stabbing the killer runs away leaving the body to bleed. On the other end of the city, there was a newly married wife waiting for the return of her husband. The night passed and the next morning a homeless person found the dead body and called the police to inform them about the murder. In about an hour, the police reached the place where the body was. Seeing the police, the crowd started forming around the murder site. While searching for clues at the murder site, the police found a wallet that had the id proof of the dead body. While waiting for her husband, the wife suddenly heard a knock on the door. She happily went to open the door thinking it was her husband, but she didn’t know that there was a huge shock waiting for her. When the door opened, there were 2 police officers waiting outside. 

“How may I help you?”, asked the wife in a confused state.

“Is this the residence of Mr Raj & Mrs Rakshita Raj ?”, asked one of the police officers.

“Yes, this is! May I know what is happening?”, asked Rakshita

“Sorry to inform you but your husband is no more ma’am”, replied the second police officer. 

Rakshita’s entire world started spinning and she was not able to stand. She fell to the ground and started crying her heart out. “Ma’am please control yourself”, said the officers and took her inside the house. When safely inside the house, the two officers told Rakshita that she will receive the body of her husband in 2 days. Before leaving they also told her to come into the station when she is in a stable state for questioning regarding the case. Once the police left, Rakshita stood under the shower and cried her eyes out. After she finished crying, Rakshita changed her clothes and headed to the police station. Once Rakshita reached the officers took her to the interrogation room. When the interrogation started Rakshita’s heartbeat kept increasing because she was scared about what questions she would be asked. Rakshaita is still under the shock. But mentally prepared to help the police to find the murderer. Police officers started a conversation about her married life and daily routine. According to the law of nature, no criminal goes far without missing any clue. But it's terribly connected to someone from the past. Rakshita was under pressure of her own because she still doesn't know what is going on. She requested officers to take her to the crime scene and they went off. As they were wandering the crime scene Rakshita’s eyes captured one part of the keychain hidden in green grass on the earth’s surface and near Rakshita's leg. Rakshita got everything sorted out in her mind and before informing the police she wants to clear such things. She told the police officer to move on and that she didn't know anything about this and stole that part of the keychain along with her. As she went to her apartment she started finding an old keychain that was gifted to her by her ex-boyfriend "Rajat" who is extremely crazy for her in their past relationship. She tried to reach Rajat and ask him why he did this. But she forgot the person who died is her husband and Rakshita is the first suspect as per the law. Police officers kept tracing Rakshita's daily routine and also had eagle eyes on her. She tried to reach Rajat, and she met him finally and asked him about the crime. In front of her, Rajat accepted that yes he did this because he still loves her truly and madly. Rakshita wanted to hide this thing from the police because somewhere deep in her heart she loved Rajat once upon a time and really did not know that Rajat would be back in her life. But she was captured with Rajat red-handed and the Mystery was solved.
