Today was the day when the Indian army was finally returning back home after 1 year of hard work so that we all can live a safe and peaceful life. Everyone was very excited to meet their loved ones, but there was one individual who was the most excited. He was none other than Adhitya. Adhitya is 25 year old and from a family of 5. In Adhitiya’s family there are his parents, younger brother and last but not the least his princess (younger sister). More then his parents and brother, Aditya is most waiting to see his princess. The name of his princess is Shruthi. Shruthi is the apple of everyone's eye especially her two brothers who are damn possessive and protective about her. When Aditya reached his home, there were so many cars and footwears outside. He thought there were so many people waiting to welcome back home, but he was unaware that there was a huge surprise waiting for him inside. When Aditya entered the house, he received the biggest shock of his life. He expected balloons and happy faces of his loved ones, but to Aditya’s shock the entire house was filled with unknown faces who were dressed in white clothes. In the middle of the hall there was a huge box that could fit the body of one human being. Unknowingly, Aditya's legs started walking towards the box. Right when he was about to reach the box, someone held his hand and stopped him. When Aditya looked behind him, he saw his younger brother Shiva holding his wrist with a crying face.

Aditya: What happened Chotu? Where is chutki and our parents?

Shiva: Bhaiya we will discuss that later, first you go and freshen up. I have kept your clothes on the bed please wear that and come.

After lot’s of persuading Aditya eventually went to get freshen up. Once Aditya was done getting freshened up, he wore a white kurta pajama and came downstairs. When he reached down, Aditya saw his parents and Shiva waiting for him at the end of the staircase. The entire way down, his eyes were searching for his chutki “Shruthi”. The moment Aditya reached down, his mom hugged him and started crying non stop.

Aditya: What happened maa, why are you crying? Where is chutki? Ever since I reached home I didn’t see her!

Mom: Beta our chutki left us and went far away!! 😭😭😭

Aditya: Maa what are you talking about? Our chutki can never leave us.

Aditya was not ready to listen, so his family took him toward the box. Once he saw inside the box, Aditya’s head started spinning. He was not able to believe his eyes. The love of his life was laying there lifelessly. Aditya was shocked and was not ready to accept that his chutki is no more in this world.

Aditya: WHAT KIND OF JOKE IS THIS? WHY DO YOU HAVE MY CHUTKI LIKE THIS?

Aditya fell to the floor and started crying like hell. He went towards the box and kept calling Shruti to wake up and give her brother a hug. But sadly there was no movement or response from Shruti.

Finally, it was time to take the body of the princess. Aditya was not ready to let anyone take his chutki’s body away. Whenever someone tried to lift the body, he would push them away. After so much struggle, Aditya’s mom held him back and allowed the family members to take away Shruti’s body. When the cremation was finished, everyone left for their homes.

Once Aditya and his family entered their home, everyone went straight to their own bedrooms. The house which once was filled with laughter and love is now filled with sadness and silence. At dinner no one was in the mood to eat so Aditya told the maid to take the food to everyone’s bedroom. After having a few bites of dinner, Aditya was not getting any sleep so he thought of going to Shruti’s room. Whenever Aditya used to come home from the army, Shruti used to wait for him at night. The entire night they used to talk and catch up. When Aditya entered the room today, sadly Shruti was not there waiting for him.

Aditya went to all the spots in the room where they used to spend time just so that he can feel that his sister is still with him. After spending some time in the room, eventually, Aditya ended his night on his chutki’s bed. In the morning he woke up to the sound of a knock on the door. Aditya’s mom could not find him in his room so she came to Shruti’s room to wake him up. After opening his eyes, Aditya reached the side table for his phone when his hands fell upon an envelope. When he took the envelope into his hands, he noticed that it was addressed to him. The moment Aditya opened the letter, he cried because the letter was from his princess. Before dying Shruti had written a letter to Aditya because she knew that when he returned she would be gone far away. The letter read:

Dear Bhaiya,

Welcome to your last letter from your chutki. When you will be reading this letter, I will be far away from all of you. Ever since childhood Shiva Bhai and you have always loved me so much that all my friends used to get jealous of me because they did not have brothers like you both. No matter what issues I had, I knew that my brothers would always have my back. But I am really sorry bhai I did not have the courage to share this problem with anyone, that is why I had to take this drastic step. Generally, daughters are supposed to be the honor of the family, but I have let everyone down Bhai! Bhai please always remember that your Chutki always loved you and will always be with you no matter what! Bhaiya the time has come for me to leave this world and go to God. Please take care of yourself and the others as well. ALVIDA bhaiya!

Your Loving,

Princess

After reading the letter, Aditya was crying non-stop. He was feeling so guilty that he couldn’t save his younger sister. Aditya neatly folded the letter and kept it inside his pants pocket so that no one else would read it. Right when he was about to throw away the envelope, a flash drive fell from it.
