Along with the famous detective Ram Shastri, I arrived at the Twin halls. It was where my best friend Mohan was found dead after a party. After a brief autopsy it was found that he was poisoned. I was disheartened after hearing this news after all we had been best friends since childhood and we used to do everything together. We were also working in the same company but I recently quit due to some personal issues. After hearing the news of my BFF, I immediately had gone to Ram Shastri's house and explained him everything briefly. The party was arranged by Mohan himself because he was declared the CEO of a multinational company. His close friends including myself along with 8 other people -Soham, Rohan, Kiara, Ahsaas, Ashana, Rahul, Pratik and Padmesh were present at the grand party.

Ram Shastri interrogated each one of them briefly. After interrogation was complete he asked me, "Was there any opposition for accepting Mohan as CEO before you left the company? ". After putting my grey cells to work, I remembered that Kiara and Pratik had opposed this very much. Now, Ram Shastri was thinking deeply. He called Rohan and Soham again and asked them a few more questions. It was realised that Kiara and Pratik had indeed gone missing during the party for some time. Kiara said that she had gone on the terrace for having some fresh air and Pratik was out in the courtyard to experience the silence.

After careful thought and contemplation, Ram Shastri asked all of us to be seated in a room. The cops had arrived. He spoke and each word gave goosebumps to me.

Want to guess who was arrested?

Yes, it was me. I poisoned my best friend and as I write my diary I realise how wrong and how selfish I was. Actually, I was working in the same company Mohan was and I didn't get what I deserved- the position of CEO. I gave him lots of beer to drink and little did poor Mohan know that with each glass of beer he was calling his death closer. I called Ram Shastri so that no one would ever doubt me. But you really can't escape  cat's eyes, can you?
