The Guiding Light

A teacher takes you from darkness to light, from ignorance to knowledge and from the unknown to the known. 

Dr A. P. J Abdul Kalam said, "Teachers are the backbone of any country, the pillar upon which all aspirations are converted into realities." Along with parents, teachers also play an important role in moulding a child's personality and expanding horizons of their thoughts. Teachers are the best source of inspiration a student can have. They stand by us at every step to guide, motivate and inspire us to be better citizens of our country. 

A teacher takes a hand, opens the mind and touches the heart. They turn a bud into a flower, a lump of coal into a diamond and a caterpillar into a butterfly. Teachers encourage hands to create and minds to love. They are the northern star who guide and enlighten a students' path. 

Personally, teachers have played a big role in my life. Sometimes we forget to respect such a noble profession but they are the ones who create the youth and shape us. Well, I feel that a student is like a plain paper and the teachers are the painters who use the right colours to turn him into a masterpiece.
