The year was 1940, my father worked as a soldier in WW2. He and his general were childhood best friends. They laughed with each other, cried with each other and most importantly, "TEA TIME"! Being British, he loved having tea of all kinds with his best mate. They could have tea for days and days over chats. My mother was fed up with him as he would spend too much time with him. But she was a teacher, the most understanding person of all.

One day they left for the war and my dad got injured and went into a coma for about 3 years. But during that time, we heard of the general's death. I was sure that my dad would be devastated. That's exactly what happened. He wouldn't come out from his room for what seemed like months. Until one day, he did come out of his room. But he wasn't himself... he seemed odd and wouldn't talk to anybody. But after a few weeks, everything came back to normal. He began talking and was his normal self.

A few years later, he had forgotten everything about his best friend. Until one day, he heard about a young man that died while fighting for his life with 2 murderers. This was the moment that made him go crazy. He quickly got up and kept saying that he has to go save him. He got up and picked up a knife. My mother was really frightened so she took me and my twin sisters to my bedroom and locked us there but she went downstairs to deal with my dad but he had already left. My mother called the police as fast as she could. The police arrived there in about 15 mins and some officers asked my mom about his past experiences and what sparked this.

After a few weeks of police visiting our place, they finally found my dad. Turns out, in his madness, he had murdered about 5 people! My mother was taken aback. I was a teenager so I understood what my mom was feeling. So I was a little bit shocked too. My mother cried a lot as she couldn't believe this fact. The police informed us that they won't be sending him to an actual jail but it would be a mental hospital controlled by the police. Each inmate would be taken care of by a veteran doctor and would be taken for checking every week. That gave some hope to me and my mother. A few years after they informed my family that my father had died because of health conditions.
