Tej rushes into the house. He closes the door with a bang, runs to his bedroom and turns on the light. His heart rate is racing. He walks slowly towards the window. He takes courage and peeks out. It's empty outside. The dog barks, breaking the silence of the night. Tej's chest trembles at the sound. He had heard the barking of dogs many times, but tonight, in the darkness of the night, the sound seemed to be carrying some terrible message. The window was closed with such solemnity that it seemed as if the sound of the window being scraped would not reach the ears of anyone outside. Then he turned off the lights, pulled the sheets over him, closed his eyes, and lay on one side of the bed, shivering. He felt as if he would face a terrifying scene if he opened his eyes. However, the crackling sound forced him to open them. Tej saw a dark shadow walking around his room. They were whispering to each other. He tried to understand if they were talking about him, but his hearing was not helping him. Suddenly a shadow turned towards him and stood still. Tej silently curled himself up even more. The shadow behind him now came forward. Tej closed his eyes in fear. And just then the shadow leaned over his face. Tej didn't know what the shadow was trying to do. Just as suddenly the shadow leaned over his face, just as suddenly it turned red again.
Seeing patient, Dr. Avro's goes into his cabin. His junior follows him. Two more follow them. As soon as the junior Dr. Porna enters Avro's cabin, Avro says, "Whatever the other two want to say or ask, you can do it in the cabin." Javed and Yusuf enter the cabin. Porna says, "A patient is making both of you run a marathon, and you are jogging behind him. I don't understand what you were doing." Dr. Avro stops Porna and ordered those ward boys to bring two cups of coffee. When they leave, he says to Porna, "Why are you so short-tempered? It's not good to get so angry. You always have to keep a cool head while working." Porna replied, "I know, but I'm going out now, I told you before. I have a call tomorrow morning anyway." Avro said, "Yes, I remember. I sent someone to bring coffee, so come and have some."
Tej was standing at the open window, enjoying the taste of decaffeinated coffee. It felt like someone was opening the door to his room. Tej slowly backed away. A dark figure was peeking out. Tej took a step back in fear. The figure that was peeking in slammed the door shut in frustration. Tej thought he would open the door once to see if the shadow figure had left. Then he thought what if he opened the door and it attacked him. So he didn't move any further. He sat quietly on his bed. He took the radio from the table and turned it on. The news said, "Militants have attacked tourists in the Baiswaran forest of Pahalgaon in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Four tourists have been injured in the incident. Police and security forces are at the scene. A search operation is underway in the area. The military has been conducting a massive operation to prevent militant infiltration in the forests of Hiranagar sector of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir for three consecutive days. The operation is being led by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat. A fierce encounter broke out with militants in Sarwal village of Hiranagar sector on Sunday evening. The army is conducting a search operation in the entire area with the help of helicopters. Sniffer dogs, drones, and unmanned military aircraft are participating in this search operation. The entire area has been cordoned off by security forces". Tej didn't want to listen anymore. He turned off the radio and sat for a while. Suddenly, he was startled by the sound of the call to aazan. He thought to himself, "They are killing innocent tourists and now they are playing a drama." The door opened again. Tej also stood up.
As the two shadows moved towards him, he started to back away. At one point, his back hit the wall. He had no way to escape. He sat in a corner, covering his eyes and face with his hands in fear. One shadow leaned towards him and said something to the other shadow. The other shadow also said something in a persuasive manner.
Parna looks at the time on her watch and says, "A very strange case. How could such a calm and brave man be so afraid? I was studying his case file yesterday. The gentleman had served in the army." Avro says, "That's not all. He was posted in Lethpora during the Pulwama attack. He survived the explosion but was seriously injured. However, after the incident, he was rescued by a rescue team and sent to the hospital, but although he recovered physically, his brain was damaged. A team from this hospital was sent to that hospital to prepare a research paper and i was one of them. Then our team leader spoke to the authorities there and by negotiation Tejash Despande was brought here. He has been receiving treatment here for the last six years." Parna once thought of asking if permission had been taken from the government, but she was so fascinated by the words that she didn't ask. Avro goes on to say, "A person suffering from Cotard's syndrome thinks that 'living people are dead'. The exact brain cells that are affected have not yet been confirmed by researchers. However, he probably has no family or close relatives, if there were, they would definitely have try to find out about him. Only his name was readable on his ID card, all the other details were covered in clotted blood and dust."
