Suddenly, one day, he came to this village. There was a signboard at the entrance to the village. It was written in large letters, 'Beware of rats.' Below, in small letters, was a line that read, 'Even odors spread infectious diseases.' Although the traveler was taking photos of the village, he ignored this warning. He was a little startled when a face appeared in front of the lens, and his finger slipped on the shutter-release button. Startled, he stepped back a little and asked, "Who are you? Why suddenly appeared in front?" The man ignored him and smiled a contemptuous smile, dragged his tired body, and walked away. He was surprised to see the guy in this deserted village.
Someone said from behind, "Mimi Hamadi Lakini we-we ni na-ni?" Turning around, the traveler saw a little boy. He also answered the child in Swahili. The child asked him, why he had come to this village. In response, the traveler said that, he had come not only to wander but also to do his hobby of photography. The child did not ask anything else, except to say "Kuja Nani". He also started walking behind the child. Although he had not yet seen the village settlement. The child was drinking water by squeezing the handle of a broken hand pump near a hole. The traveler thought that the situation in this village was very dire. The life of the people here was very difficult. He asks the child in Swahili, "How far is your village?" The child replies, "That's it?" The traveler then asks, "So where are the people in the village? And your family?" The child says, "They live here, and from now you will also live with us, isn't it?" The traveler smiled and said, "I didn't come here to stay. I will leave after shooting the blog." Looking at the child, it seemed that he didn't hear his last words. Instead, he was attracted by a snail. He got up and picked up the snail and put it in his pocket. Then he started looking around for something. When the traveler asked, the child said that, he went out to gather winter food. And right now he is looking for more snails because they are his favorite food. Although he would eat insects, bugs, fruits, and vegetables. The traveler is now uncomfortable. He didn't like these things at all. There is only one child in an entire village. The situation is short of extraordinary. He had better get out of here. What a strong, dirty smell is in the air. His head spins and he feels nauseous. He tells the child, "I'd better go, Hamadi. You should go home before it gets dark." Hamadi says that he will soon get used to this smell. The traveler says with annoyance, "Why do I have to adjust to this foul smell? Stop talking nonsense and go home. I won't stay here for another moment anyway." So he got up. Without further ado, Hamadi slowly and carefully lowered his body into the hole. The traveler was surprised to see the smooth body entering the hole. He could not understand what had suddenly happened. Within a short time, rats began to emerge from the other holes. A strong smell of rotten cabbage and ammonia permeated the air. The smell made him want to vomit. He covered his mouth and somehow ran away. As he ran relentlessly beyond the village limits, the group of rats were left behind.
The weather here is normal. He takes in oxygen with his chest full. He takes a sip of water from his rucksack. Looking around that day, he sees nothing unusual. He leaves the barren village and heads towards the locality.
While cleaning the lenses, his head seems to be spinning. He has been feeling a little stiff since morning, his face is distasteful. His body is also quite tired. After taking a hot bath and standing in front of the mirror, he notices a light black coating on his nose. The skin around his neck and throat is swollen. There are burning sores on the fingers of both his hands and feet.
Today, the fever has subsided a bit, but he doesn't feel like going to the doctor. He doesn't even want to dial the phone. He realizes that he doesn't have much time. He knows that soon the people in the neighborhood will smell the dead rats as they pass by his house. Then this neighborhood too will be plagued and destroyed. Then this neighborhood will also be devastated by the plague. The outbreak of this deadly disease will spread throughout the area. This disease will infect everyone from children to the elderly.
It will take the form of a pandemic and swallow the entire region. Then the entire country. Finally, the entire world will be in its grip. Then there will be no more big buildings on the face of the earth. There will be only holes in the earth or sand. In those holes, the Rattus norvegicus will tunnel and remain. They will rule. Amidst these thoughts, his eyesight began to fail. His sense of hearing had already retired. Now his sense of smell took break forever.
