Corona Diaries 5

 Amidst COVID 19, when all of us are passing time as though it's hard to be like a prisoner in our own homes, think about the prisoners at the jail. Arrey, be thankful you have the most important commodity of life with which you can never live. Yes, of course, your phone with the help of which we are all connected by staying disconnected. Thanks to the phone now that you are able to read and write stories too!! That's why I have not even thought of infecting phones with corona. Imagine each Corona patient's phone being infected and the entire world would have been gone invisible by now, isn't it? 

Because of cell phones, the lovers are still loving each other leaving the fight to the quitters, who never call it quits! Though it's a testing period for lovers, I am sure true love will sustain this lockdown period and come out with flying colors. So what are you waiting for, pick up the phone, message her or him your own true feelings, in whatever form it may be...let us feel the love in the air..... and the false lovers will have to call it quits as they fail miserably. So, just say a big No, and walk out...

Mom's are getting closer to their daughters-in-law while their daughters are getting close to mom in-laws. Why wait, tell your mother in law honestly that the food prepared by her was nice, which would definitely make her appreciate you back for whatever reason it may be, just take it and smile. Father in law's and sons-in-law are and will always be the silent observers. Son in law's, just today, call up your father in law and tell him thanks for giving you his precious gem, your wife and see how he would react. You will definitely see him in tears, what best gift can you ask for than seeing the tears of happiness.

There's this son who always gets up after sunrise, has slowly realized his mom's value, while the mother, in fact, has realized how tough it would have been for her own mother to take care of her.  Sons, hug your mothers, for once, she may not be a great cook like your friend's, but she's the only one who loves you more than you love yourself. Father has got enough time on hands to spend with her daughter who has opened up to her father to such an extent that she made her father realize his own father's turmoil of managing the family all alone on his shoulders. Daughters why can't we just accept that no dads are similar, but all are unique and the moment you say that, there you see the twinkle, twinkling in his eyes, the best gift ever to a daughter.

Brothers and sisters get to share feelings and what not... childhood fights are left behind and you now look forward to emotional bondage that will help you fly out of the cage. Pick your phone and call your siblings today and apologize for the pen that was hidden, the money that was stolen, the message that was shared, and the scoldings that they got unnecessarily because of you. While neighbors have stopped gossiping about each other as they don't have enough time, be responsible to stay disconnected, but make sure to call and ask their whereabouts so that let them know you are there to help.

In a way, despite the mobile phone's presence, the family bonds have been strengthened to such an extent that we are able to tolerate each other, leaving the petty quarrels to the air. The faces that we used to run away from in the wee hours of the morning are the faces that will remain with us forever. Money is just a thing, but family is the only thing to cling upon. I am happy to say that, however, people may scold me, down in my heart, I am satisfied that I have made people realize the importance of family, though to a smaller extent, my hopes and prayers to God that before me, the Corona, gets eradicated from this world, I shall see to it that the rhythm of the family shall ring and let it take over the ring tone of mobile phones.
