I'm a housewife, or rather homemaker. True to my name, this COVID situation has turned me into a full time, 24 x 7 homemaker. You know the jack of all, master of all!! I have changed it a bit!!! it applies to me so much so that, I've forgotten my own being. I'm on my toes from the time I wake up, till the time I forcibly retire to bed. If I get up even a minute late, my heart skips a beat. Why I'll tell you.

After your freshening up in a hurry, you start cooking first for your husband, because he'll be late for his online calls, you'll start cooking for your kids separately as they don't like upma, which your husband likes. You prepare a sandwich for them and now it's your in law's turn, they don't eat any of the stuff. So, you go ahead and prepare dal roti for them. Oh yes, after preparing, you have to serve each individual to their table you see, online classes for kids and in-laws can't walk out of their rooms, husband can't put it on hold. By the way, what's your favorite breakfast?

Serving done, feeding done, cleaning up of kitchen done. Hey! Wait, did you have your breakfast? It's already noon!! Nope, you'll skip your breakfast as it's time for lunch, no one bothers to ask. Still, you manage to gobble down a bite of upma, a burnt bread piece, and a piece of roti without dal, and of course, tasting the tea for your husband before serving.....

Hurriedly you keep the cooker for Rice, oops, forgot to put the gasket, water is oozing out...... After 3 whistles, you start preparing seasoning for lemon rice for husband, fried rice for kids, and rice and sambhar for in law's. Serving done, feeding done, cleaning up of kitchen done. Hey! Wait, did you have your lunch?? No one bothers to ask you. Still, you manage to gobble down a bite of fried rice, lemon rice, and sambhar rice.......

You look at the clock, it's sharp 4...you wear the mask and rush to buy vegetables and groceries near your house, long queue. You come back home at 5 and remember that you haven't gone to the washroom since morning, you rush there to be called by your beloved husband for tea.....you hurriedly finish the washroom business...and start cooking evening snacks..., Bhel for husband, Maggie for kids, n biscuits for in-laws. Yes, you had time to taste them. Did anyone ask you if you had snacks?

It's time for dinner, you open the fridge, all little leftovers. You prepare dal, sabzi, and paratha now for everyone. Serving done, feeding done, cleaning up of kitchen done. Hey! Wait, did you have your dinner?? No one bothers to ask you. Your headache is telling you that you just had missed all your meals, not to tell your share of coffee too. You take a plate, serve yourself the leftovers from the morning, open the box for your favorite paratha, it's over. Never mind, you slowly eat and finish the last bite of roti. How you wish, you had a hot cup of coffee to get rid of the headache..... Aladdin has heard your wish, there he stands in the form of your husband with a cup of hot coffee and your favorite salt biscuits. You give a big hug to him and he responds back with a sensuous kiss on your cheek making it hotter than coffee!!!
