Cerelac

After the last morsel of "CERELAC," the baby's lips turned purple. The nascent soul couldn't even consume its mother's milk. The breath it inhaled and exhaled was life-threatening, but the adage goes: "We breathe to live!"

The little baby's heart betrayed him; he couldn't even be christened by his parents. But the mother christened her son "Noel" in her heart of hearts.

The little angel lost his life to "Tetralogy of Fallot," a congenital heart disease that comes in a pack of four.

The mother was very fond of CERELAC, as many adults have a fondness for their childhood favourite foods. After feeding her child every day, she would devour the last morsel. And while feeding her son, she'd taste the first morsel of CERELAC to make sure the milk in which the cereal was prepared was not hot.

Five years down the lane, only the memories of her son lived inside her. She saw her colleague feeding her toddler with CERELAC during recess. She used to often visit the Nursery and Primary

section (there was an affinity for this section of the school). Even she did not know why. Many toddlers were her friends, but she felt they were her own biological children.

She remembered on her son's last day, the baby didn't even eat the last morsel of CERELAC from his mother.

....It was unusual that the mother consumed the CERELAC entirely on her son's birthday, the following year in his absentia.

She took her pen and a chit:

"I know, dear son, God is serving you the best Manna-Dew in heaven!"

....she tucked this chit inside the envelope where she had been posting letters to her deceased son......
