Betrayal Chapter-1

The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a single rose set in a delicate vase at each table. I was in a restaurant that night dining with my love, Rosie. I had a beatiful ring in my pocket which I had bought from D&D jewellery shop. I had her initials made in the ring with diamond. It was very expensive. I was going to propose her with the ring immediately after the dinner. 

Suddenly, a gang of robbers entered the restaurant with their weapons. They asked everyone to give their wallet, mobile, watch and other expensive items. Similarly, one of them asked me to give the thing I was hiding in my pocket and I refused. He hit me angrily due to which I blacked out.

Next day morning, I woke up in a hospital bed and saw Rosie sitting next to my bed. I saw her eyes and realized she hadn't slept the whole night and was crying. She was worried about me. She told me that the robber hit me and took everything I had with me. I was also informed by my police friend, Kamal, that the restaurant owners have filed a complaint against the robbers and the police currently are looking into the matter. I had immediately decided to go back to D&D's and buy a new ring to propose her. But, I had spent my whole salary to buy the previous ring and so I had no money with me now. 

As soon as I was discharged,  I went to my businessman friend Theeran's house to get help. He agreed to help me and gave me some money. But when he was handing me the money,  I saw his hand and was shocked. He was wearing the same ring which was stolen by the robbers. It also had the initials of Rosie which I had it made. I became suspicious. I initially thought of asking him directly but then stopped myself as it could ruin our friendship. So, I decided to hide outside his house and watch. 

Few hours later,  a man came and entered Theeran's house. He was inside the house for a long time. I couldn't hear their conversation. After some time,  he left the house angrily. I took his photo and informed about him to Kamal and asked him to investigate into this matter. He advised me to go to a private detective and gave one's number.  I met that detective and she immediately agreed and accepted the case. However, the next day,  I was shocked when I learnt that she was killed. 

I understood that something very serious was going on. I decided to solve this matter on my own.  I went to the detective's house and saw the information she had collected. I saw a photo and realized that the guy who came to Theeran's house had also met Kamal. I theorized that the mysterious guy, Kamal and Theeran are working together. I heard a noise from behind and turned back. It was Rosie. I was confused what she was doing here. I was about ask her but she took out a knife and stabbed me to death!
