In a bustling city, Rohini, an orphan who works diligently at a company, navigates her routine with a quiet determination. One day, her boss, Vikram, approaches her with an air of unwelcome familiarity. "You're doing a great job, Rohini," he says, his tone more personal than professional as he places a hand on her shoulder. Rohini adjusts her dupatta, feeling uncomfortable but maintaining her composure. Vikram's presence is unsettling, yet she tries to stay focused on her work.

Later, while standing on a crowded bus, Rohini encounters a fellow passenger whose advances are anything but innocent. As he slides his hand inappropriately, Rohini feels a surge of panic. Desperately trying to de-escalate the situation, she pretends to be compliant, hoping to avoid further trouble. Despite her efforts, the situation deteriorates, and she finds herself forcibly taken by a human trafficking ring.

Rohini wakes up in a stark, unfamiliar room, her clothes removed and her dignity stripped away. The room is filled with other women, all of them anxious and disoriented. Her pleas for her clothes go unanswered. A grim auction ensues, where Vikram emerges as the highest bidder. Rohini, now a part of a darker scheme, is taken away by him, her fate sealed in a new and harrowing reality.

In Vikram's home, Rohini is subjected to a life of relentless confinement. Chained and isolated, she is at the mercy of Vikram's unpredictable moods. He swings between cold indifference and cruel outbursts, and she is forced to endure his demands. Over the years, she gives birth to five daughters: Aaradhya, Kaavya, Nalini, Svasti, and Veda. Each daughter grows up in the same grim environment, their innocence overshadowed by the harsh reality of their confinement.

One day, Aaradhya, now a young woman, is subjected to Vikram's disturbing behavior. Rohini, growing increasingly desperate, sees an opportunity when Veda falls ill. Vikram grudgingly takes Veda to the hospital, allowing Rohini a fleeting chance to seek help. In the hospital, Rohini spots a policeman and tries to alert him. But before she can explain, Vikram intervenes, drugging her and ensuring that her plea goes unheard.

Veda's illness provides a glimpse of the outside world to the other girls, igniting a deep longing for freedom. They begin to dream of a life beyond their confinement, inspired by Rohini's stories and their brief exposure to the world outside. Determined to escape, Rohini and Aaradhya formulate a plan. One night, they manage to lock Vikram in the underground room, seizing the opportunity to explore the surface. As they emerge, they are greeted by sunlight, a sensation they have only heard about. The freedom they experience is both exhilarating and overwhelming. Rohini quickly finds clothes for her daughters, a symbol of their newfound liberation.

Their brief taste of freedom is shattered when Vikram escapes his confinement. Confronting them with a threatening presence, Vikram holds them at gunpoint. His demand is clear: they must return to their chains or face dire consequences. In a tense standoff, Aaradhya defiantly declares, "It's better to die than to live as your pawn." A fierce struggle ensues. Vikram, in a fit of rage, fires his weapon. Rohini is struck, and as she collapses, her life flashes before her eyes. With her last breath, she tells her daughters, "You are free now. Live your lives fully." As Vikram dies, the daughters face a new and uncertain future. They step into the world with a mix of hope and trepidation, knowing that their escape from one perilous situation only leads them into new challenges. The gang that kidnapped Rohini now locks their eyes on the other girls. Yet, the spirit of freedom drives them forward, as they seek to build lives beyond the shadows of their past.
