Being Inquisitive And Curious

People love using quotes wherever they are suitable to the context, as they consider that the quotes support and add value to whatever they are trying to put across. I am no exception to this. But sometimes the quotes may seem to be contradictory, as I noted recently. I was going through quotes on curiosity and inquisitiveness which lead to an interesting outcome.

I am merely inquisitive” said albert Einstein, very humbly, obviously trying to undermine his genius! and as Bernard Bruich, American businessman correctly noted,” millions saw the apple fall, but only Newton asked why? ’ We all know that the consequence of Einstein’s inquisitiveness and Newton’s curiosity were very far reaching. Einstein’s theory of relativity and Newton’s laws of Gravitation are fundamental to Physics, which explain many phenomena and are central to many discoveries.

Tony Robbins, American writer says,” Cultivate curiosity. If you really want to grow in your lifetime, learn to be as inquisitive as a child. Curious people are never bored and for them life becomes an unending study of joy”

One can be judicious and “be less curious about people and more curious about ideas (Marie Curie) “.  Also “be curious but not judgmental. "

“I happen to be an inquisitive guy and when I see things I don’t like, I start thinking, why do they have to be like this and how can I improve them,” said Walt Disney.

Being curious and inquisitive indicates that the child in you is alive and kicking!
