Behind The Chase

Aravinth is a carefree guy from Erode district. He lives with his friend ASP Rishi Krishna, an orphan, whom he adopted and became friends with him, since his childhood days.

Aravinth stays with his uncle Ramakrishna's family(his mother's only elder brother): consisting of his aunty Eswari, Their elder daughter Janani and younger daughter Ashwini. He hates his father Rathnaswamy since he remarried after the death of his mother and in further, hates his stepmother Rajalakshmi and their daughters Ishika and Neeraja except for Dhivya. He fleed from his father's house feeling that they all showed him partiality.

Since, his stepmother's sister-in-law Thangam had evil plans of killing Aravinth in order to grab the properties of Rathnaswamy, due to which he misunderstood his stepmother's family and fleed from his house, while also misunderstanding about his father.

Still, now, he hates his father's family. Aravinth fell in love with a Syrian Christian girl named Carolina George, coming from the Kannur district of Kerala. She is an orphan, being raised in an orphanage. Since Carolina became a victim of the 2008 Bomb blasts in Bangalore(in which she lost her parents), she fears living as a family. Since, her relatives grabbed her properties forcefully, once her entire family was killed in bomb blasts. She is an undercover Journalist.

Aravinth introduces her to his uncle and she becomes impressed and happy with their doting and caring attitude.

Later on, Aravinth slowly unveils his love for Carolina to his uncle with the help of Rishi. 

"Aravinth. You both belong to different religions da. Your family should accept, right!" Said Janani and her younger sister.

"Your family means, which family, Janani?" asked Aravinth.

"Your father's family," said Janani.

Angered, Aravinth tells, "Nonsense" and took a gun and shoots at the aimer, which he kept for shooting bullets. 

"Don't be angry, Aravinth. What Janani told is right! For so many years, your father is yearning for showing you love and affection. Why shouldn't you meet him for telling about your engagement?" asked his uncle.

"Uncle. Have you gone senseless? His stepmother tried to kill him with her sister-in-law when he was young just to grab the property. Have you forgot that?" asked Rishi, to which he slaps him.

"Uncle. Why did you slap him? What he told is true only, right?" asked Aravinth.

"No Aravinth. You misunderstood about your father and stepmother. They tried to show you love and affection, only. Not hatred. Your aunt only tried to do such things" said his uncle, after which he realizes his mistakes.

Aravinth decides to go and meet his family with his uncle and Carolina George(who too learns about Aravinth's drastic past through Rishi) before Rishi stops him.

Rishi unveils to Aravinth that, "He is in love with a girl named Mahima Reddy, an Investigative journalist, hailing from Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. She is staying in the Gobi, to which Aravinth feels happier.

He accepts his request to marry her and proceeds to reconcile with his father's family, after apologizing to all of them.

Initially, his father objects to his son's desire to marry a Christian girl. But, he later allows him to proceed. Thangam apologizes to Aravinth and promises him that, she would be loving to her family to which, he agrees. 

The marriage function is planned for Aravinth and Carolina. However, before the marriage day, prior to 3 days ago, she goes missing and after 3 days, Mahima also goes missing, which leaves Rishi shocked.

The next day, an Inspector calls Rishi and asks him to come near the banks of the Cauvery River in Pallipalayalam. Rishi goes with Aravinth and there, the duo learns that Mahima and Carolina were killed under mysterious circumstances, after which Aravinth rushes to see her dead body...

Seeing the body, both of them are shattered and after performing the cremation, the duo promises to them that, "They would give justice for their death by unveiling the mystery behind their death."

The next day, a seemingly upset Aravinth and Rishi return home, where, Rishi develops fits suddenly due to the upset about Mahima's death.

"Brother. One minute come here" said Ishika, when she saw Rishi, developing fits.

"Why? What happened?" asked Aravinth.

 

"Rishi developed fits," said Ishika after which, he rushes and admits him to the hospital.

While staying in the hospital, Aravinth accidentally misses an ID card, which he holds secretly. This had been seen by Neeraja and Ishika, after which they confront Aravinth.

"Brother. What's this identity card? Are you an IPS officer? Why did you hide from everyone? Even from your uncle's family?" asked the duo, in anger.

"Because, I am doing an undercover mission, which Rishi also knows very well. After getting selected as IPS officer, DSP Raghava Krishna called us and told me to be undercover, to observe the human trafficking gangsters in Erode, which have seemingly increased" said Aravinth.

Aravinth pleads with the duo, not to unveil this information to the family. Since already they are all upset. If they learn this, problems would go worse, to which the duo agrees.

Rishi slowly recovers and after he recovers, the duo plans to do a parallel investigation in fast laced progress, since due to their carelessness in investigating, they have lost two of their close people.

Rishi goes to Mahima's house, hoping that he might get some clues behind her death's mystery. While searching, he comes across some photos, consisting of Human trafficking gangsters, which he shows to Aravinth. All, who got kidnapped were drug addicts and 18-20 years aged girls and boys.

Aravinth also shows him some photos, which Carolina took undercover. But, the photos that she took are drugs and cocaine. 

"Rishi. Did you see it? Both these have different photos. But, the same guys of Human trafficking gangsters, which we investigate are present in Drug trafficking people also" said Aravinth.

"We should inform this immediately to our DSP sir da. He would tell us about the next procedure" said Rishi, to which he accepts.

"Aravinth. One minute. Did you notice this place in the drugs?" asked Rishi.

"What place is this Da? It seems like Cambodia" said Aravinth.

"Exactly. I think the main culprit is found in Cambodia. So, what next?" asked Rishi.

"Mission Cambodia," said Aravinth, to which he agrees, and the duo proceeds for Cambodia, after meeting the DSP(Where they get an international driving license, visa by the Tamil Nadu police force).

There, Aravinth proceeds to meet the lady, with whom Carolina was standing in one of the photos, after taking rest for a few days. However, before they can go there, the lady gets killed by her younger brother, a drug addict.

In addition, the brother shoots the duo accidentally in their arms, after which they faint due to blood loss... 

The Bangkok Police department takes the duo to hospitals after which, they transfer the duo to Erode district, with the help of the Tamilnadu Police force.

While getting treated, Aravinth's family comes to meet the duo in the hospitals, where Aravinth's stepmother and father learns from Ishika that, he had hidden his identity as an undercover IPS officer, working

with Rishi, which makes all of them shocked.

At this juncture, Sakthi, one of the henchmen of the drug mafia, comes to meet Rishi and Aravinth in the hospital, without the knowledge of his groups consisting of Rajanayagam, Menaka, and his younger brother Ravi respectively.

Sakthi meets the recovering Aravinth and Rishi, where the duo laughs.

"How are you da, Aravinth, and Rishi?" asked Sakthi.

"I am fine da, Sakthi," said Aravinth and Rishi.

"What about you?" asked the duo.

"I am fine da. Feeling frustrated to work as an undercover IPS officer" said Sakthi.

"Why da? What happened?" asked Rishi.

"Yes da, Rishi. As per our plans, we had two strategies: One: We planned to collect information about the gangsters in Erode, Two: We wanted to unveil the mystery behind the death of Mahima and Carolina." Said Aravinth. 

"Sakthi. Did you get any clue regarding this case?" Asked Aravinth.

"Yes, Aravinth. I was indeed shocked to learn the mastermind behind these crimes" said Sakthi.

"Who is the mastermind behind these?" asked Rishi. 

"Menaka and Rajanayagam are the masterminds behind this business. They are very dangerous, Aravinth. I and you might be caught at any time. Since, someone from our own police department named, ACP Rajalingam met them and informed about undercover IPS officers. We must take charge officially as ASP, soon" said Sakthi, to which he agrees.

Sakthi also shows videotaped evidence, in which he shot the video of Menaka and her younger brother Ravi speaking about the death of Mahima and Carolina. Ravi unveils that, it was he, who killed the duo brutally by raping them and by digging them into the river water.

An angry Rishi and Sakthi take their gun and plans to kill Ravi for which, they come out from the hospital and try to escape, until being stopped by his uncle and family.

Janani-Dhivya slaps Rishi-Aravinth for his anger and admonishes him by saying to him, "If you kill them, will your lovers return back? You both only get suspended by the police, for taking the law into your own hands. While they continue to raise up. Their end must instill fear amongst other criminals. Don't forget that" said the duo to Aravinth and Rishi...

"Rishi. Further waiting is useless da. I am planning to take charge as ASP of Erode, with Sakthi. Inform this to our DSP sir, da" said Aravinth, to which he agrees.

After taking charge as the ASP of Erode district, Aravinth, Sakthi and Rishi go to meet Menaka, Rajalingam, and Ravi, where all three are shocked to see Sakthi as a police officer.

They arrest Ravi, with the video evidence, which shows him his confession of murdering Mahima and Carolina, and arrests him. The day before they could produce him to the court, Aravinth, Sakthi, and Rishi take Ravi to a secluded place, where they tie him up and calls Menaka.

"Hello, Menaka madam. Could you see your brother Ravi?" asked Sakthi.

"Hey, Sakthi. What are you doing with him? He has to go to court right! Why have you tied him up?" asked Menaka.

"Because we are going to kill him. This is the last time to see your brother, Menaka madam. See him, one last time" said Rishi.

"Today's headlines. Oh! I am sorry. It's Tomorrow's headlines. The culprit, Ravi tried to escape by slitting the hands of Sakthi and left with no way we trio shot him mercilessly to death" said Aravinth.

"Don't do anything to him. He is innocent. He has to live a happy life" said Menaka.

"Carolina, Mahima and so many other people, whom you all drugged for money's sake were also innocent. They had a lot of dreams. What did you do for them? Why should we give mercy to him?" Asked Rishi and Ravi begged them, "No sir. Don't do anything to me." 

But, without any mercy, the trio shoots him to death, shattering Menaka to the core. Rajanayagam gets arrested for his crimes while, Menaka is given bail for 2 months, under the special mention by her lawyer, since her parent's memorial day comes.

Later, several people from Menaka's captivity place were released and they thanks the Tamilnadu Police department for rescuing them safely.

Meanwhile, Aravinth, Sakthi, and Rishi are happy since they got justice to Carolina and Mahima's death. Now, Janani's marriage is fixed with a rich guy named Dinesh, with whom she was in love for more than 3 years.

Dhivya's marriage is also fixed with Ravindran, her college mate, and a businessman. On the day of marriage, both Dinesh and Ravindran die in an accident, with their family while heading towards Avinashi NH4.

"Dad. Everything has gone. Our respect, pride, and honor are lost. Who would come to marry Dhivya, here afterward" said Neeraja.

"Who told that our pride and honor have gone? Why wouldn't anyone come forward to marry Dhivya? My friend Rishi is there to marry her" said Aravinth, after which, he brings him.

Initially, Rishi refuses. Since he still loves Mahima. But, Aravinth begs him to marry Dhivya, in order to save his family's reputation, after which he relents and marries Dhivya.

"You have given a solution to your sister's life, Aravinth. But, for Janani, who will marry her? She is now left alone" asked Thangam.

"Aravinth. I knew that you are not in a mindset to marry due to Carolina's death. But, for our family's sake, will you marry Janani?" Asked his father, to which he stiffly opposes.

However, when his uncle begs him to marry his daughter, Aravinth reluctantly agrees and weds Janani for his family's sake. Initially, both Aravinth and Rishi were upset with the marriage. But, later on, they eventually give up and live happily with their new life as a police officer and family man respectively.

Meanwhile, Menaka finishes her family rituals as well as her brother's cremation rituals. After this, she escapes from the police and kills Sakthi with a sword, when he was heading to Erode Police station from Perundurai, on the roads of Thindal.

Then, she calls Aravinth through Sakthi's phone.

"Yes da, Sakthi. How are you? Where are you, now?" Asked Aravinth.

"His phone was lying somewhere down. Henceforth, I took" said Menaka.

"Where did you see the phone? Asked Aravinth.

"It was there near to Vallipurathanpalayam, sir. No sir. It was there near to Nasiyanur sir. No no sir. Kavundapadi sir...no no no sir...near to Kanchikovil and Bharati sir" said Menaka.

"Hey Menaka" said Aravinth.

"Hey. Will you destroy my whole crime syndicate? Are you such a dog? That bloody Shakthi, who worked for you is lying dead near to Thindal. Come and pick his body" said Menaka.

"You rascal," said Aravinth and he rushes to meet Rishi.

"What happened, Aravinth?" Asked Rishi.

"We must go to Thindal, immediately da Rishi," said Aravinth.

"Why da? What happened?" asked Rishi.

"Sakthi is dead," said Aravinth, which shocks Rishi, Dhivya, and Janani.

The duo rushes to see Sakthi's dead body, where they kneel down and cries at his dead body.

Menaka now calls Aravinth and asks him, "Are you crying, Aravinth? Feeling painful to see your teammate's death. The same pain only I too have undergone right, due to my brother's death. Hereafter, you don't even have time to cry. The people, who are related to you closely, will be killed by me frequently. You would rush and rush to take the dead bodies of the people, who are close to you" 

"What Aravinth? She has done like this!" Said Rishi.

"Rishi. Menaka is now completely mad. She might kill anyone at any time. Don't allow my father to go alone. Be protective of our family. I would finish this problem by myself" said Aravinth.

"Aravinth. Will you alone manage this? Shall I come with you?" asked Rishi.

"No Aravinth. Already, I have lost Sakthi. I am not ready to lose you. Since you are now not a bachelor. You are now my sister's husband" said Rishi, after which he relents and agrees.

Later, Aravinth meets DSP and gets a shooting order against Menaka, after much trouble and altercations. He is given a deadline of 4 days to finish off Menaka since he is soon going to be transferred to the Cyber branch.

Menaka, upon realizing this, decides to escape from Erode to Sathyamangalam Reserved forest areas. Aravinth prepares to start his mission.

"Aravinth. Be safe da" said his father, stepmother, Rishi, stepsisters, and Dhivya

"Sure. I would definitely come back once this mission is complete" said Aravinth after which, he sees Janani, who is pregnant now.

"I will leave Janani," said Aravinth.

"Brother-in-law. Be safe" said Janank, after which he hugs her and proceeds to go.

After so many chases, Aravinth meets Menaka in Sathyamangalam reserved forests and fights with her. But, he spares her life after overpowering her.

When she was about to kill Aravinth in the back, a hungry tiger intervenes. She is killed by the tiger, instantly while Aravinth walks in peace, having fulfilled his revenge for Carolina's death.

He goes with his family and lights candles in the cemetery of Carolina and Mahima, telling them that, they have fulfilled their wishes. The family reunites and lives happily forever.
