In my articles, I have made the qualities, efforts, deeds and achievements of many known/unknown people as my writing subject matter. I believe readers get inspiration from such articles, which would not only help them achieve their goals but also get inspired to contribute in the interest of the society and the nation. And it is my desire to make this country a better and happy place.

With this intention, one fine morning when I saw Ashu Hora on a walk, I took the initiative and joined her. Earlier in our society 'Atria', I had seen her always active as a fitness coach. During the walk, I had a detailed discussion with Ashu ji. So I am writing this article to acquaint my friends and readers with her exemplary qualities and overall personality.

Sets N Reps

Yes - This is the name of Ashu’s and Jyoti's establishments. As far as Atria is concerned, Ashu has been living here for four years. Due to her magnetic personality, Ashu has become so popular over the years that most of the residents not only know her, but also admire her. And in this case, I believe writing about her would be an endeavor to make myself famous along with her.


Why is it necessary to throw light on the personality of Ashu ji? The answer to this is that by looking at a famous person from distance, we only know superficial things related to their personality. However, when an author writes about them, then the readers of the article get to know their in-depth thoughts, life dreams and life. They also get to know about their targets and ways to achieve it.

By writing about Ashu ji, I am trying to give such information to the readers, which would make the readers aware of her qualities, achievements and characteristics.

In the past two and a half years, I have been seeing Ashu almost daily at different places. In these parks/meeting spaces, Ashu often conducts classes on Yoga, fitness and healthy lifestyle for different groups of Atria residents. Ashu's morning classes start at 5.45 am, at sunrise. Ashu takes more such classes in the evening too. The duration of her classes is one hour.

Jyoti Kheda is her associate with Ashu. It would be appropriate to mention here about Jyoti ji that she is a 40 km full marathon runner. Being with Ashu ji and Jyoti ji, the fitness classes run smoothly throughout the year. Sets N Reps classes are suitable for children, young men and senior citizens. 

The classes are conducted separately for adults and children.

At a park/hall at Atria, there are usually 10-12 students facing her in her classes. Online students also join Ashu's classes. These students join from villas in Hyderabad, Bhilai, Kadapa in India, Seattle, Kadoka in US, Berlin in Germany and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia etc. Ashu limits the number of such remote students to 20 in a class. Apart from fitness classes, Ashu can often be seen doing morning/evening walks/jogging.

Ashu ji's daughter

Ashu not only passes on the benefits of her spirit of service to ensure the fitness of others, but she herself also gets the benefits of being devoted to this good.

Yes, the proof of this is that Ashu has a 10 year old daughter also. Now Ashu's age is about 35 years. If Ashu does not tell any stranger about being the mother of her 10-year-old daughter, then looking at her fitness, someone would mistake her as a 25-year-old girl.

Ashu is an ACE certified fitness coach. Ashu says that she has been active in the fitness field for more than 10 years. Earlier, when her daughter was small, she had devoted less time to this work. Ashu says that she wanted to take care of her daughter herself so that there is no paucity in her upbringing and manners.

Indeed the sacrifices of Indian parents for their children are innumerable and indescribable in words. When Ashu gave importance to the care of her daughter instead of spending time in her own development, it was a little different from today's practice. It seems the mother had sacrificed her interests for the sake of the daughter. In reality this is not the case. The time spent on her daughter will ultimately prove beneficial for Ashu and her husband Kamal in future.

There is a wonderful thing in the characteristic features of us, the Indian parents, that we are more happy with the happiness, success and fame of our children than ourselves. Certainly someday, this time would come in Ashu and her husband's life too. In return for the sacrifice she has made now, she will see her daughter sitting on the pinnacle of success. Then the happy life of the daughter will give them the feeling of satisfaction and happiness.

I have seen that many very successful parents, who focus too much on themselves, their children do not become as successful as them. In the old age of these parents, it is very painful for them not to see their children as expected.

Ashu takes care and seriousness in the upbringing of her only daughter. Surely her daughter will be blessed with special achievements in future and then surely Kamal and Ashu will feel pride and satisfaction. This will definitely prove beneficial for them.

Now Ashu ji's daughter has started going to school. She has become capable of taking care of herself. Now Ashu has started spending more time in fitness classes. Now she has a good balance between the responsibilities of a family and a good fitness coach.


Sets N Reps Achievements

It is a proof of the expertise of Ashu and Jyoti that out of those who join their classes, there are more than 60 people who have gotten rid of overweight. There has been an amazing transformation in them. The ‘unfit’ with 80-100 kg weight have now become fit, 60-70 kg weighing people.

Ashu also makes her students practice such yoga and exercises, that reduces the tendency of muscles becoming weak day by day with increasing age, and they can be kept strong.

Ashu provides yoga and exercises for the diagnosis of joint/knee problems occurring in old age. Ashu and Jyoti through their establishment give importance to the spirit which ensures the health care of children, youth and senior citizens’ than the income.

Ashu believes that ‘more mentally and physically fit’ citizens, along with their more enjoyable lives, make our society and nation happier and stronger. Ashu is satisfied with her profession as it not only makes her but also her disciples physically and mentally fit. The students of Sets N Reps are able to contribute more in the journey of prosperity and development of our nation.

Ashu had completed her education from University of Delhi. She is a Human Resources Specialist. Her expertise as a fitness coach is multifaceted. She makes everyone health conscious, right from children to the elderly. She provides coaching for various exercises and yoga asanas through her classes. For trainees, she takes cardio/pound sessions also.

In November 2022, the Sets N Reps was given the opportunity for coaching under the fitness program 'Fit-Cop' of Telangana Police personnel at 'Command and Control Center' Hyderabad, While imparting coaching there, Ashuji was extremely pleased to see that the Police personnels (both man and woman) there are extremely fit.

Ashu assures that when you make yourself fit mentally and physically, you are also improving your planetary position.

Ashu ji's thoughts

Ashu believes in ‘Early to bed and early to rise makes a man/woman healthy, wealthy, and wise’. She sleeps early at night and wakes up at 4 am in the morning. She believes “You Can Heal Your Life”, this helps in instilling confidence in her students as well. Ashu helps her students to identify the causes of their emotional problems and physical ailments. Ashu ji, through exercise and yoga etc., turns the thinking and life of her students in a positive direction. She inspires them in all the four aspects of mind, body, emotions and soul.

Ashu's classes inspire a new discovery within the students by helping them to know themselves. Having discovered this, one develops the capacity to love oneself and others perfectly.

Everyone has a natural tendency to accumulate negative emotions. Ashu's classes help students to be empowered with positive thoughts and feelings. What actually happened in the past automatically becomes limited. Yet a man may become indifferent to his potentially prosperous future by over-emphasis on the past.

Ashu ji's one hour classes thrice a week, helps one to forget the negativity of the past and inspires him/her to look forward to a brighter future. Everyone can become more successful in any area of life by realizing their potential. All this is possible with the company of people who have positive thoughts like Ashu ji.

Due to the good facilities in the society, Ashu inspires her society, Atria, to become like a 'Runners Society'. Ashu stresses on the use of healthy food items.

Ashu's approach regarding culture and environment is very clear. She wants us to leave the world as we found it. For this, she wants to give the heritage of nature conservation and the tradition of being physically and mentally healthy to the future generations.

An exemplary thought has a place in Ashu's mind / inner self 'As much as possible, we should avoid hurting someone's heart by our actions or unpleasant words'.

In fact, Ashu is a complete organization in itself, working for social welfare.

Ashu is a fan of Bruno Mars, to an extent that she follows him.

Ashu is a fan and friend of Urvashi Agarwal of ‘Holistic Fitness with Tronzee’, Hyderabad. Urvashi ji and Ashu ji have the same goals. The 'Holistic Fitness with Tronzi' and ' Sets N Reps' classes work towards almost the same goal. Both offer weight training, Pilates and yoga training.

Yoga is equally effective on both the mind and body, Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. It is helpful in improving general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to yoga, Pilates focuses on posture, balance, and flexibility.

Ashu says that the approach of ' Sets N Reps' is scientific. Both Ashu and Jyoti are experts and understand a person's problem just by watching her/his posture and walking style and solve it through their class.

Every Sets N Reps class ends with a 10 minute meditation session, in which the existence of the God is understood while concentrating on oneself. Meditation gives meaningful direction to human life.
