There lived a boy named Eric. He loved animals and wanted to enjoy their beauty in real life. He wanted to see and play with animals; he had seen on television or internet. So, he requested his parents to take him to a zoo. But there was something which he couldn't understand was the agony of caged animals. They suffer a lot and are caged/tied right from childhood. They aren't taken care of properly and are often sick. Their purpose is to just entertain we humans by leaving their family and habitat.

Eric went to the zoo on a holiday. He saw many animals. He also took many pictures. He saw an elephant too but it was tied. He asked the guard that why can't the elephants break it despite being so powerful and huge. The guard replied, "They're tied right from childhood and when they try at that time, they are unsuccessful. So, they feel as if they can't do anything and adapt to stay in the same condition. They don't even try anymore!" The boy was little sad but also learnt something. He also wanted to inculcate this value in his life.

He went home and thought about it a lot! He also pondered about his own weakness- cycling. He always afraid of cycling and always felt as if he is losing his control; going to fall! He realized, he never tried with his whole heart because of this fear and lacked confidence. By this incident, he learnt that losing hope and confidence won't help in any part of life rather try and achieve success. He started practicing on cycle with a dwindling confidence as well as balance but ended up riding very smoothly with a good balance. Gradually he regained the same confidence and enjoyed cycling. He used to complete his riding goals with a particular time, race with his friends and also perform some new techniques and stunts!

His cycling was much improved and he also got a chance to show his flair in a state level competition representing his school. He was selected by his sports teacher. Eric was really very exhilarated. He started to do more hard work and practiced vigorously.

Finally, it was the competition day and Eric had arrived in the sports track with a right get-up and climbed up on the cycle. Ready, Get, Set… He heard it and got mentally as well as physically prepared. Almost his feet on the pedal!

START!!! And everyone started the race. Eric was a slightly slow pace but got encouraged by his school crowd loud cheering his name. He maintained his pace and kept cycling. He didn't want to exhaust all the energy initially, so he was a little slower than other. But then, after a certain distance, Eric had his accelerator! He increased his speed like anything and got the lead. He moved on and on until he reached the finish line.

He won the race. Everyone was proud of him and the school. He was regarded as the gem of the school! He was euphoric too and thanked his family, friends and school for this opportunity and support.

But, secretly he thanked the elephant!!!😉
