Long long ago once a hermit who was living in a forest came to a cave wherein he found two lion cubs playing together. He lifted up one and brought to his hermitage. He trained the cub in the line of spiritualism. While he sat on meditation it sat by him and observed. At the time feeding it also licking his feet like a loyal disciple. In this way five years already passed away.

One day a miracle happened inside the forest which stunned the hermit and his followers and the tribal people too. That day a local poor man entered the forest to collect some fuel woods and began to hack a tree with his axe. Suddenly a young lion appeared and attacked him. Though the woodcutter was trying to defend himself, still he was unable to sustain long before the lion. As this incident occured just half a kilometre away from the Ashram ( hermitage ) and the hermit had come nearby the exat place for plucking jungly flowers for worship. He observed the lion's attack. The struggle between man and lion was in full swing.

Suddenly at a moment another lion jumped on the fighter lion and started combating. As both were males the fighting was bloody. In the mean time the poor woodcutter ran away speedily for saving his own life. Then two lions were senseless after almost an hour of fierce fighting. The hermit felt sympathetic after obseving the scene and approached nearer to the animals. He saw one of them was his own pet lion but for the sacred vermillion smeared on it's head. The monk recognized it as his ashramite lion which was also plying with him regularly and secretly as a security guard. As it has done a benevolent act that day the hermit's ecstacy knew no bounds and patted on it's head. He also gave a pious touch to it's rival too. After a few seconds both the lions woke up from the exhausted nap and they began to lick each other as they were well known before long. Then they began to fondle each other too.

At the nick of the moment the hermit recognized the twin lion brothers of the mountain's cave seen about five years ago who had shown the same fondling action as they did then. He was extremely astonished by the cordial bond shown by the two animal brothers, whereas, he visualised and compared such qualities with the modern human beings of the present world. Moreover he thanked the omnipresent and omnipotent Almighty God for His beautiful creation with a heartful of gratitude. The crucial moment was over by that time. By the healing touch of spiritual hermit the wild lion also became his pet and followed him to his hermitage with it's full blooded pet brother peacefully. The two brother lions lived with the hermit peacefully under the spiritual effulgence. Since then the hermit tried to pet more wild faunas on humanitarian standpoint and received a gold medal eventually as a token of award from the Government.
