Man is born inquisitive. Gradually it has been expanded during the course evolution. All the people created by Almighty are not equal to one another in respect of their appearance, behavior, nature, food habits, etc. While modernization works started throughout the world, a lot of changes were observed owing to the amalgamation of different global cultures of human society as a whole. There is a maxim: Old is gold: Because somethings of the older periods are there which satisfy the mind of the evolutionary modern people. Even if during the current century a number of persons are still present who love the olds among whom I may be considered as one of them.

Since my student's career, I have been fond of nature, music, and philosophy as yet. During our intermediate, we read in prose " The Mohan Maneater" collected from the book " The Maneaters of Kumaon" written by the late Jim Corbett. While I went through the book I got much more happiness as I am a lover of nature. Then I became one of the fans of late E. Jim Corbett. He was a humanitarian and a conservator of wildlife of India during the British Rule who had helped numerous poor people of Uttarakhand by killing hundreds of Maneater tigers in the Kumaon region which was his masterpiece deed. Though he was British, his extraordinary love for the downtrodden people and flora and fauna of the Indian subcontinent as well on humanitarian ground, was actually adorable. So I deeply appreciate his noble character and benevolent action for uprooting terror of the Maneater Tigers of the Kumaon. While I read his hunting stories I merge myself in the scenarios as per depiction and a thrilling sensation covers the entire body till today.

As I belong to Odisha I also appreciate Late Gadadhar Ray of Patia, Barang, Odisha who was a renowned writer of Shikar Diary which I had read in Paurusa, a well-known Odia Digest. But it is a matter of regret that I am ignorant of his life story. I guess that perhaps late Ray was only a writer not a hunter like late Corbett who had not got practical hunting experiences. However, I adore him as a reputed son of Utkal Janani as his birthplace.

Furthermore, the omnipotent Almighty God is such a creator that He has planted dense forests in order to maintain Ecological balance and a sound environment for the benefit of the global mankind through which we get ample peace of mind and spirituality. Forest resources are essential for human living and livelihood. Whenever we enter into the forest we refresh ourselves and return to our respective work fields with a new mood and spirit to work better for life. Our ancient Rishis and Sages were great

who got inspiration from the Himalayan forests for spiritual practices and training in the past and contributed a lot to the human societies of the world towards the advancement of Science, Technology, and culture. It may not be an exaggeration if we call those Rishis and Sages as the basic founder of the modern society which we enjoy today.

Today we regret while we observe mass deforestation and exploitation of forest resources throughout the world for status and money, we pray Lord Jagannath, the manifestation of Supreme Soul in the form of a wooden figure ( Daru Bramha ) to save mankind from the imminent Holocaust so that our future generations may live peacefully and harmoniously in the long run.
