The famous Iyengar's bakery was crowded as usual. Of course, it has to be since it provides good quality products to customers all over the city. Chandu was waiting for his turn for half an hour with 10 RS notes in his hand. He could hear his stomach growling. He just wanted to buy 2 buns for the cost of 10 RS, one for his sister who was sitting in the corner and one for himself. He just wanted to rush ahead, but he couldn't as he was being pushed back by the crowd.

Chandu gestured at his sister to drink water from the drum, which they had kept outside the bakery. His sister nodded a yes and drank water from the cup. A well dressed lady scolding Chandu's sister for drinking water washed the cup and gave water to her son. Chandu tried to control his rage by clenching his hand. He couldn't see his sister crying for no mistake of hers.

He didn't realize that the crowd had subsided by now and went onto buying the buns from the baker. Within a flash of a second, one of the boys from the street stole the bun from the counter and ran as fast as he could. The bakery owner's voice pierced through Chandu's ears to stop that boy from running. The well-dressed lady alerted the bakery owner that he should not allow such children near the bakery as they could do anything to satisfy their hunger. Saying so, she held her bag tightly in one hand and pulled her child towards him who was standing close to Chandu.

The bakery owner attended to the lady's request first and then turned towards Chandu. He asked for 1 bun, and when the owner returned the change, Chandu replied, take the money for the boy who ran away with the bun. The owner was speechless and so was the well-dressed lady who was waiting for the auto there, but the lady's son waved at Chandu appreciating his kindness...
