A Love Story Beyond Time

Mahek fell in love with Aditya when she first saw him at the park. Over a period of the next two years, they became best friends. Aditya was offered a job at an American company in 2016. Finally, the time came for them to go on different paths. He never said anything, she thought he didn’t have the same feelings as her. They said goodbye. She moved on with a heavy heart, knowing she would always have a soft spot for him. After a few months, she got married to Rohan. They had a lovely family.

Sometime in 2019, she got a call from Aditya’s family informing her of his death. Mahek was shocked. She went to meet Aditya's family. They informed her that Aditya left a box for her with things that were their memories. He also left a letter for her in which he said to her that he had always loved her and always will. His love for her was beyond words, time, space, and distance. They hadn’t met for many years but in his heart, she always lived. He also knew that he would always stay alive in her heart. Aditya had been detected with blood cancer and knew he had a few days left to live so he arranged for his family to give Mahek their box of memories.

Mahek loved her husband truly but had a soft corner for Aditya. Love happens in many forms. The love and bond that Mahek shared with Aditya were timeless, unconditional, and beyond words. It could only be felt. Only because the world doesn’t understand some relationships does not mean they don’t exist.
