A Letter to My Dear Friend

To my love,

  The first time my eyes beheld you, I saw your beauty. But did we have this connection, this special something then? I assume not my dear, because falling in love with you was magical and it all started with your openness. You were dazzling, with your bright, white pages, your elegant lines and your chocolate skin that one couldn't help but notice you. The beginning of our journey was tough, I wasn't ready to release my emotions and we kept our conversations too formal. But you knew I needed time and you were ready to wait. That mattered more to me than everything else. Our relationship slowly evolved into a unique friendship when I went through some of the hardest years of my life. My feelings started pouring out of me and you were always there gathering them up in your pages. You were ready to give up all your pages for friendship till I was mentally prepared for more. Now when I see your wrinkled pages and your worn cover I see only the perfection. We have gone from being strangers to more than friends. Now, my dear diary, while I write your last pages I want to express my complicated emotions in three simple words 'I love you'
