“ I usually get away with mischief by lying. One day, my nose started growing every time I lied.”

It was a classic Sunday, I woke up at ten in the morning and was getting ready to eat my breakfast. After eating my breakfast I went out for a walk with my parents. On the way I saw a mysterious light bulb, it was slightly bigger than a usual light bulb. It had a really old metal stand, which helped it to stay upright. It looked unique so I decided to keep it in my bag. After walking a few hectometres we returned back home. After I returned home I started reading some storybooks. When I was bored reading my storybooks, I started painting. After ten minutes my father switched on the TV to watch some news. After watching the news we realised that the first light bulb was missing in the museum!! It was important because, without it, the museum that owned the light bulb will lose its job. I knew the light bulb was the one that I saw on the road. So I thought that all the people would think I was the one who took the light bulb from the museum. I was scared and said to my parents that I left my book in the playground. So I need to go there to bring it. Within a fraction of seconds, my nose grew roughly 1 centimetre. My parents did not notice my nose was growing because they were busy working but I noticed it. When I reached the playground, I took out a cloth and wrapped the bulb, then I hid it in the bushes. One of my friends noticed it and brought it to my home. When my mom opened the cloth she realised that it was the same light bulb that was shown in the news. She asked me from where did I get it, I said it was in our house, after that my nose started growing. To hide the truth I said my friend Sahana gave it to me. My nose grew again. Then I kept saying lies until my nose grew around 10 meters. My mom noticed it and she immediately asked me to say the truth, I was shaking and my hands were covered with goosebumps. Then it got weird, my mom started saying wake-up, wake-up then I woke up and saw it was 8:50 in the morning, I have to join my online classes, And it was Monday, so turns out it was just a dream but now I will never lie to anyone.
