A Chameleon's Freedom

Adaptation has become my lifestyle. To blend in is to fit in, to fit in is to survive, and I am in a place in my life where my survival instincts have gone into overdrive. I look in the mirror and I see a chameleon. He always looks different, whether it be his appearance or his attitude. To look into his eyes is heartbreaking.

This once free creature only wants to be himself, but his circumstances simply won't allow it. Every time that he changes his colors in order to adapt, he loses himself and gets further and further away from his true colors and consequently his happiness as well. He is running out of colors on his pallet, and eventually he will flee from a world that won't accept him as he is. He will find somewhere to exist where he can be free.
