Day 1 [living in silence]

(Daytime)

Living in silence wasn't a very tough thing to do. All he would do is breathe in and out and not move an inch. He would sit and lie in the same position and shift only when the noises died outside. He'll take a few sips of water every day and slowly close the lid of the bottle. But only when the noises have died outside. They always die for a couple of hours before they come back. But he'll dare not move. All he'll do is live in silence. The tough part came after that. What will he do next? Locking himself inside a classroom has so far only granted him the blessing of being hidden from them. It didn't grant him unlimited resources. It didn't grant him enough luck. Soon the luck will run out. His water will run out. No bit of substance will be left to support his survival. So what happens after that? He can't live in this dusty old room, staring at the white walls forever. Then Should he go outside and encounter the horror?

No. He thought. He'll dare not move, he dare not go outside and he dare not make a sound.

Silence is what he'll prefer.

He heard them outside. Their tramplings stamped a huge blow on the floor. He imagined the walls trembling with their presence, eyeing their every move quietly and living in fear. Their breath froze up the dead air followed by a static silence. Their shadows glided everywhere as they fell over the floor terrorizing every remaining spot left. No one can stop them and there is no one left to stop them.

It felt like a huge storm was building outside. They will run all around the empty school rattling and breaking every door and moving past all the dead students till they find him. They'll run after him just so they can tear him apart, erasing the very last life left in this school.

They'll find him. They were searching for him now. They could sense him. They'll catch him and eat him just like they did to the other people. And then it'll all end.

His heart beat faster and he wanted to run away. Run far away where nobody can find him and nobody can hurt him. He doesn't want to stay here any longer. He wanted to move his muscles and run as fast as he could. He wanted to vanish into the air.

But he won't move. He won't make a noise. Or else it'll all end.

Fear was supposed to be unknown to him in the daylight. He didn't expect it to come racing inside him and start eating his insides.

But he also didn't expect many other things. He didn't expect them to come. He didn't know where they came from and what they were.

But they howled like wildfire and killed every student who screamed in terror—the morning already erupting into hell.

He had hidden himself in the dark, while the screaming continued. But soon it came to a halt and then he knew it was all over.

They were eager to find him. Eager for him to leave his hiding and fall into their trap. Waiting in pleasure. Waiting for him to give up and come out.

But he won't. He'll be still and not make a sound. He'll Live in silence and that's what he'll do.

Day 2 [they are coming and you'll die]

(Daytime)

He knew now why people believe nights are scarier than days. It's because you never know what can happen in the darkness. What can creep beside you and what they can do to you? They can stare at your face while your eyes are closed and you'll never know that. In day time, even if the shutters are closed, little sunlight still seeps in through the window. It's dark but your eyes will adapt and will be active enough to sense anything coming towards you.

But at night you'll never come to know anything happening outside your world.

His eyes felt tired. He felt as if yesterday's night is still chasing him and driving him into a corner until he can no longer feel the touch of the ground beneath him. I no longer feel his face and hands. Only feel the night as the night feels him.

He curled up on the ground. He clamped his hands and legs together. He watched the wall and the wall watched him.

Breathe in breathe out

The room felt sinister and was pushing him down deeper into the floor. He observed the wooden benches covering the entire room. Its shadows are long and it buried him out of sight. It's empty of the children it had before. It lays there alone facing the roof, waiting for company, waiting patiently for the children who'll never come back.

He drank a few sips of water. A drop fell on his cold finger. He closes the lid.

Don't make a noise

He listened to them outside. They were still out there, hunting and feeding. They moved and walked and their shadows crept on his door. The shadows had eyes. The shadows were smirking. The shadows were watching him.

The shadows are watching you, the shadows know where you're hiding, the shadows are laughing at you, the shadows are whispering, the shadows tell the creatures are coming, they are coming and you'll die.

He wanted to close his ears. He wanted to shut down these thoughts. His mind is becoming weary and his body is turning numb and senseless. His tongue is parched and he feels it'll crack and break down. But he doesn't drink water, he doesn't move a muscle.

Lie still don't move

 are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

They are coming and you'll die

His brain is feeling unsteady. it'll lose balance and fall into an endless void. He felt lost and confused and his brain was floating. a gush of cold wind rushed inside his head and the darkness envelops him.

Day 3 [starvation]

(Nighttime)

The room reeked with the stench of faeces and blood. It hung thickly in the air making the atmosphere unbearable for him. He clutched his nose tightly but the smell fought its way towards him.

The shadows on the door had unknowingly disappeared but they'll come back soon to watch him. He's sure of that. But this time he'll beat the shadows. He'll not let the shadows win.

His stomach felt weak with the taste of nothing but saliva. The acids inside fought wildly and he resisted the urge to spew everything out. His head felt like a tight band wrapped around it and was ripping his brain into shreds. His body felt stiff and pain cut through him like a knife. He gasped for breath but gagged when the stench came roaring into his mouth Making his nausea worse.

That night he drank gulps of water emptying half the bottle to fill his stomach but it didn't take away the uneasiness. He didn't shift from his position. He stayed in the same spot where he was before and the day before. The floor was cold but he wouldn't sit on the benches. They were hidden in the dark. The benches seemed terrifying and haunting. He doesn't know what's waiting for him there. He doesn't know if anybody besides him is here. He's alone but maybe he's not. Maybe they are sitting in a corner, watching him turn into a mess. Maybe they were counting the time waiting for him to stand up and walk into them. But he can't hear anything. He can't see anything. The darkness doesn't allow him to. His eyes feel blind and maybe they'll never open again.

He leaned on the floor while his sanity battled with his head and wished for the sun to rise sooner.

Day 4 [They took her away]

(Daytime)

He can't survive. He was sure of it now. Everything inside him has given up and the noises never seem to go. They never seem to die. He can't move, he can't breathe, he can't make a noise. He wanted to give up and drown and he knows it'll end for him soon. Everything will soon end for him and he'll finally be at peace. He'll soon leave this hell.

The shadows still did not come back. Maybe he did defeat them. Maybe he did win. Maybe they were scared of him now.

Suddenly a Piercing scream bellowed from outside the room.

Are they coming?

No. That's not the monsters. That's a girl's voice. Somebody is alive. Somebody is alive and somebody is screaming.

The scream continued until it followed to his door and he jumped when a pair of hands started banging on the door. The hands are visible on the glass. His hair rose from his skin as the banging continued. The girl screamed and wailed to let her in. The door creaked with the blow but didn't open. It stayed closed.

He didn't move. He didn't help. He won't move. If he'll move he'll die. He'll stay at his place and not make a noise. He'll look at the girl and that's what he'll do.

He stared at the girl while she didn't stop crying. Her wails rang through the entire school but the school stayed still And the walls ignored her. Her eyes were wide with terror and desperate to let her in. But he didn't do anything. He won't open the door. He knows it. She knows it. His face turned cold and he bit down anything that came up his throat.

Just close your eyes and wait for it to be over soon. Everything will be fine

Then a screech lurched through his ears and her hands peeled off from the door and got dragged behind her.

He saw the shadows come back but this time they didn't watch him. The screaming stopped and it became all quiet. A beat or two passed. The shadow hovered over her body.

And then he heard a sharp cut from outside followed by a slice and a crunch. Then the girl was gone. She was gone.

A chill ran through his spine and panic surged through him. Dread twisted his gut and his head started swirling. Danger started ringing all around his body all around his ears whispering to him to Tremble more to start screaming.

They took her. They took her away and ate her. Now they'll take you and take you away and kill you. They are not far. They are so near

So near and so close and you are helpless and you're weak.

The whispers never stopped. It kept ringing, it kept talking, it kept howling around his head, burying him down and cutting him into pieces as blood flowed out and drowned him.

Day 5 [I'm a monster]

(Unknown)

His eyes are playing tricks with him and his mind is taunting him. The girl's eyes are around the wall, a pair of hundred eyes all glued to the wall and they all stared down at him. They are not wide anymore. They are narrow and glinting. He can't make out if it's real or fake. These might be delusions. These might not be.

But everyone is looking at him and he's being looked at by everyone. He feels his bone budge and his muscles groan. He sees the girl watching him and the girl nears him. She cracks a laugh and pulls his ear

You'll die soon just like I did. You'll pay for what you did.

The girl vanishes and the eyes go away. He's the only one in this room and the room only carries him.

The floor shudders and he doesn't feel the floor any longer. His feet are in the air and he can't go down.

He struggles and then the floor comes back and his feet touch down.

The air rushes out of him but he sucks it back. The eyes are back and then the eyes are gone. Red Fog fills the room and then it clears away.

He's thirsty. He sees blood on the floor. He wants to lick it. He licks it. He tastes it and his bones creak more.

He sees the girl's head on a bench and the bench breaks away. He blinks twice, opens his eyes and the bench never breaks. The day is unknown Time is unknown but he hears a clock ticking, he looks around and the ticking stops.

His breath is ragged and is covered in sweat and they all slide down his forehead.

His nails grow and he blinks, the nails keep on growing, he blinks again, but the nails never stop. His heart hammered down his chest.

He saw the shadow creep on his door again

They are back

More shadows creep, he waits, More and more come and they all stand near his door.

They are all waiting for you to show up they are patient and kind they finally found you they are excited

He stands up and walks near the door.

They killed the girl. You helped them kill the girl. You killed the girl. They know you did. They know you're on their side, they know you're one of them.

The eyes come back. The desks start moving. The girl watches him. The walls hear him.

He tastes the flesh rising in his mouth and he gulps it down.

You're a monster and the shadows are eager. You're one of them and they are one of you.

His fingers press the glass and it quivers and rattles against him. His mouth fills with blood. He sips it down. His skin tenses and stretches in all directions, going everywhere, covering everywhere as hair grows down his neck and shoulders. His jaw slit open wide and his eyes turned bloodshot. The roof comes crashing down his head. He's a monster

I'm a monster

He pulls the glass and opens the door.
